Write a separate thread with your question.  I hope you get your answer, for former visitors have listed specifics.  If I were not an obvious senior now, I would avail myself in Santo Domingo, for when I was there in early 2000s-- 2005, I did not have my sexual and needy appetite fulfilled.  I had an accident (fell in a drainage area between curb and street and tore a ligament in my right knee which put me out of commission.  

From my reading all what others have written, I yearn to return a decade later.

Argentina, a great place for Blacks to visit!  WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SMOKING????  About a decade ago my Black friend and I went to Buenos Aires and the trip was horrible.  Initially we had planned to stay 10 days in Buenos Aires, but after 3 days we got the heck out of there.  My friend said that if he wanted that type and that much discrimination he would remain in the US.  

At two very nice steak houses, the hosts walked passed us as, we waited in line to be seated, and seated the people behind us; they were white.  My friend was outraged and confronted the young female hostess who stated that she did not see us.  By the way, both of us are six feet tall and weigh more that 200 pounds each.  Stevie Wonder wouldn't have missed us.  At the second restaurant I asked to speak to the manager who apologized for the host's action and offered us a free bottle of wine which we refused.    At both restaurants there were no other Black customers, only my friend.

At the hotel the housekeeper asked me which bed was my bed.  I asked her why.  Her excuse was so stupid but one day my friend's bed linen was not changed.  Other isolated incidents happened and the people were blatant in their actions.  After three days of the bullshit, we flew to Brazil and had a BLAST with no difference in treatment. 

Search the internet on the topic of racism in Argentina and you will be surprised at what you find.   Also there has been several racially incidents with the Argentina soccer players/fans and the Black Brazilian soccer players.   One thing for sure, Argentina is DEFINITELY NOT AND HAS NEVER BEEN A RACIALLY FRIENDLY COUNTRY FOR BLACKS.
