Members stevenkesslar Posted May 12 Members Posted May 12 States bear the brunt of House GOP Medicaid plan Quote The Congressional Budget Office released preliminary estimates requested by Democrats on Sunday night that found that more than 8.6 million people would go uninsured if the health portions of the package became law, with cuts of at least $715 billion. We now have an initial estimate of how many working class people Republicans will screw. All so they can pander to Elon Musk and other deserving billionaires who need government help with tax cuts. Meanwhile, the Republicans will argue that these 8.6 million people are just not deserving. How many of these people voted for Trump? It's one thing for Elon Musk to kill the poorest children in the world by taking life saving medications away. Why kill Americans? But the insolent pig Trump is willing to do so in order for Musk and the other fat cats who paid for Trump's Presidency to get their tax cuts. If Republican House members vote for this American Cruelty Plan they deserve to be slaughtered at the ballot box next year. Quote
Members Pete1111 Posted May 25 Members Posted May 25 @stevenkesslarHow confident are you that Republican candidates will get slaughtered? I'm flummoxed how many "educated" people believe cutting taxes on the wealthy is a sound strategy. To me, it's as if they believe a strong economy hinges on growing the billionaire class. America has many mega-yachts that still need a home. 😉 I'm very cynical these days and stopped having faith in polls. I sense many working class voters will continue to "own the libs" next election and continue demonizing undocumented immigrants. Quote
Members Suckrates Posted May 25 Members Posted May 25 Americans supposedly voted for Trump because they felt the govt wasnt serving THEM..... so they wanted to try something NEW.... But what they got was something OLD, in Trump, and in his rollback of govt to an earlier time when Americans rights were suppressed, and freedom of speech was challenged. Something OLD is NEW again ! And those that hadnt experienced oppression in the early years will experience it NOW...... As long as you are a Trump puppet, and service him, you'll be fine. Any independent thought or belief outside of Trumpspeak will be facing consequences and action. Look around...America has become an active "police" state. And our DOJ and FBI is ready and able to OBEY Trump orders even if they are unjust and unlawful. The courts may "contain" Trump in some cases of illegal activity BUT they stop short in taking any action against HIM for disobedience, and he has shown he doesnt care about court orders and mandates. So for those who voted for "something NEW"..... You got it !..... Now, enjoy your SERVITUDE.... (try to remember, KING Trump says "he Loves you" .....for making him KING) Now, "EAT THE FUCKING CAKE" and shut up. Quote
Members Pete1111 Posted May 26 Members Posted May 26 NYT interviewed an undecided voter in Ohio that leaned towards Trump because she assumed he would deliver on healthcare and education. She was a nurse with young children. Bless their hearts, Americans give it their best try when they vote. (Too bad the NYT went radio silent on that Ohio nurse's misguided healthcare/education voting strategy.) Yeah, time for voters to eat the cake and shut up. Let's see how the midterms go. Until then, suck it up buttercup. Quote

I sense many working class voters will continue to "own the libs" next election and continue demonizing undocumented immigrants. After 2024 I'm not particularly confident in anything. If almost 50 % of Americans can vote for Trump, what would I base confidence on? That said, it's clear it was the economy, stupid. And the rent, stupid. And the inflation, stupid. I really don't think the working class is particularly into owning the libs. Or The Gays. There are some wedge issues that clearly resonate - like anything trans. But I don't think working class people are against same sex marriage, for example. So the question is what kind of economy will Trump deliver? And what will Democrats offer as an economic populist alternative? Since I don't think the working class particularly feels like they need tax cuts for Elon Musk. Or cuts in their health care. I'll keep bringing it up. We have a wildly successful economic populist model right next door in Mexico. Si se puede! Quote
