Flying high . . .

Personally, I think our Nabob-in-Chief is setting his sights too low with this ‘free’ plane from the Qataris.  It may be a “flying palace” but it’s still a used aircraft and it won’t get him anywhere he can’t already go.

If you ask me, the answer is right under his nose.  Well, under Elon Musk’s nose, actually, but close enough.  If he wants to stay on trajectory and go where no President has ever gone before, he needs to commandeer the SpaceX Dragon, order NASA to cut through all the red tape, and become the first world leader to land on Mars.

If he times it right, he could touch down before year’s end and celebrate his first anniversary in office gazing up at the Martian moons, conveniently named Phobos (Fear) and Deimos (Demon).

What’s more, a year on Mars is equal to almost two years on Earth, so he could stay President for two more terms and not even violate the 22nd Amendment.

“But, Lookin”, you say, “SpaceX doesn’t have a rocket that could bring him back.  Once he gets to Mars, he’d have to stay there.”

And you would be right.  👋

Duh!  There's an obvious solution.

Bring Elon and Chad along.  They'll figure it out when they get there.

And if for some strange reason Musk and Trump and Chad are not the geniuses they appear to be, it may be okay.

Honestly, @lookin, it is a very tough ask.  But I think the world can somehow manage without Elon Musk.  🙄

The Qatar plane has a Prayer Area but it's not clear if Trump would worship Musk, Musk would worship Trump or will they flip flop?

None of that really matters...what matters is HOW MUCH it will cost American taxpayers to get the plane "security" ready to allow Trump to fly around like a "baller" and brag about how the plane was a "personal gift" from a Middle Eastern DICTATOR......

The American taxpayers also have to pay for English to English translators:

I think we may actually have stumbled on a way to manage Trump.

He may just need a good hand job once in a while.   Despite her lovely accent, he apparently ain't getting it from Melania.

In addition to their lovely accent, it's a well known fact that the French give the best hand jobs in the world.  It's also a big ask.  But maybe Macron needs to rise to the occasion, and do the world a favor every month or so.  Trump is old, so he doesn't need it so often anymore.

Kidding aside, we should get Trump out of the US more often.  Democrat Jim Hines said it.  The international version of Trump is more palatable.  In addition to pushing commerce, he's trying to figure out how to stop Bibi The Baby Killer from bombing Iran and come up with a nuke deal.  And now that MBS has learned that turning journalists into sausages is a reputation killer, maybe the Gulf can be an anchor for political stability.  And Trump basically denounced the US Forever War Doctrine.

I still view Trump as a traitor on Ukraine.  But even on that issue he is now saying nasty things about Putin, rather than just throwing Ukraine under the bus.

This is progress.   More hand jobs, please.  🙏🙏🙏

Trump is on a new mission.  He has his sights set on Springsteen because Brucie called him treasonous and "hurt his feelings".....  Get that gulag room ready for Bruce in El Salvador.

I am.

In retrospect, it actually looks more like culture war battles and payoffs to right wing interest groups that bought the US Presidency.

Elizabeth Warren's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was an early and prime target.  I bring that up because I'm guessing if we knew the political affiliation of the millions of Americans CFPB defended from financial predators, we would learn many of them are working class Trump voters.

And then of course there were all the attacks on "woke" pro-LGBTQ things in the military or USAID.

It was culture war and political payoffs disguised as government efficiency.

Meanwhile, the US credit rating goes down because Team Trump will again blow up the deficit, this time from about 6 % of GDP to a projected 9 % of GDP.

Moody’s downgrades US credit, citing rising debt

How efficient is that?   More tax cuts to Elon Musk, please!

Right wing media is working overtime to "spin" Trumps Middle Eastern Corruption and Bribery Tour into a "peace making" expedition,  an attempt so ludicrous, even the biggest MAGA's arent buying it.    How is anything that Trump did in the Middle East with murderous Dictators doing anything for the American people ?   And of course, we will NEVER see Trumps financial disclosures.

Trump has now blatantly laid bare his unlawfulness and corruption right out in the open, transparent for EVERYONE to see.  His strategy is to "normalize" his actions, make it seem as if its OK, and that everyone does it so there is nothing to hide.  This way he makes the World believe all his actions are above board and in line for POTUS.....   Sorta like a redux of Nixons famous reasoning "if the President does it, its OK".......

Except we know its NOT OK, and it is now our job to either ACCEPT what he is selling,  or Fight against it and keep showing his actions are illegal and anti-constitutional.   The lack of consequences tampers this movement, and the more rope he is given, the more rope he will take, except his rope is around OUR necks.

I would hate to say that he is right in thinking he is successfully "gaslighting" us,  but from the way it looks and feels, he has Won this battle regardless of the courts putting up any resistance.  Resistance is NOT stopping him.   It is only making him more aggressive.
