Stable Genius Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I've yet to see any in depth reporting about how the DOGE firing of 400 FAA jobs and elimination of another 1200 jobs due to the early buyout is affecting air traffic safety. The workers said those jobs were critical for maintaining equipment and air traffic safety in an understaffed industry. Shockingly, the number two at the FAA refused to tell Congress how many of the 1200 were controllers. You can see where this is going. Trump is going to give Musk and Starlink the billion dollar contract to overhaul our airlines and fix the chaos they created. They will ignore the safety concerns and conflicts of interest of doing so, and the GOP Congress will look the other way. Maybe making a former reality show TV star the head of the FAA was not the best move. He seems in way over his head. The incomptence, audacity, and criminality of this administration is breathtaking. stevenkesslar 1 Quote
