Stable Genius Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Trump's famous quote is: “We’re gonna win so much, you may even get tired of winning. And you’ll say, ‘Please, please. It’s too much winning. We can’t take it anymore, Mr. President, it’s too much.’ And I’ll say, ‘No it isn’t. We have to keep winning. We have to win more!’” stevenkesslar 1 Quote

Members Suckrates Posted Sunday at 01:12 PM Members Posted Sunday at 01:12 PM Sadly, the crowds were overestimated, only about 8 million attended while it was estimated that between 10 -12 million would.... With that said, 8 million people represents only 2.339 % of the total 342 million American population. That is hardly a ground swell of dissent, and certainly not enough to make Trump & Co shake in their boots...... In fact the crowds telling him "that he CANT" only fuel him to SHOW them that "HE CAN"..... Now I am not saying we shouldnt protest, but I believe there is too much optimism in the effect of these protest.... and Dems shouldnt become to overconfident that they will defeat Trump in the Mids.... The only thing that will STOP Trump is a legal system telling him NO, with JAILS showing him NO ! Otherwise this is all "moot".... and its all just Noise. At this point even courts telling him NO have no affect or accountability, as Trump and his crew IGNORE any court order offering citizens any justice. Trump is a Different type of Criminal and therefore has to be dealt with in Different ways ! This is no longer a typical Television episode of Law & Order...... Quote

Again, OK, so we got 8 million dissenters at No Kings 3.0.....BUT WE NEED 80 million...... Without larger public support, Trump WILL WIN ! 👎 stevenkesslar 1 Quote

I hear 3.5% is the number at which social movements don't turn back. We had over 5% in our small community, better than we usually do, and I think it's because we just formed a local Indivisible chapter that did some tabling and more signage than usual. I also noticed some high school kids who haven't shown up in the past. It was a good place to feel connected and the determination felt stronger than at prior events. With Trump's approval ratings hitting a new low, it feels like the momentum is building. I came away from the weekend feeling we're heading in the right direction. 🤞 Quote

That momentum MUST be retained and Grown, but people have short attention spans and are subject to "fatigue", so the future is unknown at this point. And I am not confident we can depend on the Dems to develop and deliver a unified, cohesive and compelling "message" other than the defeat of Trump, which didnt work in 2024..... The only thing i think we can DEPEND on is Trump doing a LOT more crazy, illegal, unconstitutional, and self-serving shit to continue tanking his popularity and support. But will it be enough to "crack" his solid 30+ % support ? Quote
