Yes, we've lost allies and World Trust, but Trump doesnt care about that shit.  He's a separatist and isolationist, so he's accomplished HIS goals.

Could have been one of the bus loads of USA seniors who travel across the Canadian border to find more affordable medications in Canada.

Birth control medication is provided free under the national Pharmacare plan (diabetes medications is also free). There's a brilliant idea - prevent unwanted pregnancies rather than having the State control women's bodies through extremist abortion bans.

I had a coworker that procured prescriptions from Canada for her elderly husband.  She saved a lot.

Mocking the simplistic rantings of neo-populist conservatives can be effective.  Years ago Stockwell Day was the leader of the emerging neo-populist rightwing party of the Canadian Alliance.  The Canadian, sort of equivalent, of SNL, This Hour has 22 Minutes, started a petition to have Canadian Alliance leader Stockwell Day change his name to Doris Day. With 370,000 signatures it reached the threshold to trigger a national referendum. Effectively making the point that referendums are no way to govern. 

(I really want a reporter to ask The Incompetent why, with his biblical Trooth Social post, did he chose to be represented as Fat Jesus - but I digress).

Even though there was mocking involved, the mocking was about an idea, and came across as humorous and not mean-spirited. I think that is still largely true of Canadian politics versus American politics. Public financing of election campaigns and controls of campaign spending also help in Canada.

Tomorrow the government of Canada will provide a fiscal update for the budget year of April 1, 2025 - March 31, 2026.  The 11 month federal budget deficit is projected to be $25.5 billion dollars (down from a projected deficit of $75 billion dollars).  More or less, that's about a $30 billion dollar annual deficit.  If that was true for the USA that would  be less than $300 billion dollars a year.  Still a massive amount but not the $1.8 trillion dollar annual deficit that this current regime in Washington is ringing up annually.

The USA regime is running an annual deficit that proportionally is six times larger than the Canadian federal government's.  And those deficits, are also heading in different directions.  The Incompetent-in-Chief is an economic incompetent.
