Members Pete1111 Posted May 4 Members Posted May 4 What is keeping these old Senators in office? The PAC money must be too tempting. But at some point, isn't the US better served by young, sharp minds serving in the legislative branch, House and Senate? Yeah, I know, Susan Collins is not nearly the oldest, but she is still f*cking old, with apparent physical health issues. We must move these old timers out. They seem to want to remain in office, no matter how old. Quote
Members Pete1111 Posted May 7 Author Members Posted May 7 Susan Collins claims her health issues are benign, per this NYTimes article. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/05/06/us/politics/susan-collins-tremor-maine-senate-race.html?smid=url-share She still seems old and frail. Time to flush the old farts out of office. Quote
Members Suckrates Posted May 7 Members Posted May 7 To answer the question succinctly......YES ! And while she pretends to be a FREE thinker, in the end she will USUALLY vote with her party on issues that are damaging to the American people. Like the rest of them, she is a FRAUD.... Quote

Susan Collins should be gone for her politics and the negative impact she has on Maine, not just because of her age. lookin and Pete1111 2 Quote

She knows her issues and easily engages when MAGA throws their BS. One might wonder how long she will stay. Does she love serving that much? lookin 1 Quote

She sure seems older than Elizabeth Warren, but she isn't. Maybe it's just the 30 years Collins has been in the Senate. Quote

Senator Susan Collins has a benign essential tremor, a common neurological condition that causes rhythmic shaking in the hands, head, or voice. Quote

The Democrats in Maine were anybody by Janet Mills with support for Plattner, Mills is 79. (She looks good for 79, but still, that's 85 by the end of the six year term.) At some point this just becomes elder abuse. Luckily Maine Democrats had a second bench that had a number of strong candidates. With the Republicans they are still running the likes of nut jobs like Paul LePage. "I'm not running for the whales of Maine." Quote
