bucknaway Posted July 5 Posted July 5 In the past when traveling to Thailand I used to book with Thaifly.com. They offered some of the best flight deals from the Philadelphia area. They kind of moved away from that model and then I learned about BT-store.com, now fairboom.com. when they operate it side by side, I found that BT offered better flight options and prices that weren't found on fairboom. I still go to fairboom as my first option for flights. Does anyone have a preferred flight website that they would like to share with the group? When it comes to booking hotels, in the USA and Asia I prefer a agoda.com. they seem to offer some of the best rates and were one of the first to offer the ability to book and hold a room without prepayment. Which was great in case you found better accommodations before your trip. But when I book for Brazil I prefer Airbnb. Mostly because I don't want to have to deal with hotel staff when it comes to visitors and I like to have my own kitchen to cook for myself and my friends during my travel. So for my recommendations I say: Check Google flights to get an overall picture of the travel and cost. Fairboom for flights Airbnb for accommodations in Brazil Agoda.com for accommodations in Asia and the USA And on the side note I would recommend getting a Wise account along with their debit card for managing your money during your travel. I have their debit card loaded on my cell phone for tap payments, and link to Uber and 99 for ride-hailing payments. Keeping it separate from my credit cards and bank cards. Quote
