McConnell released a statement thru his office that he experienced a fall, not cardiac arrest or stroke, and is recuperating. He will be returning to the Senate floor soon... Why didn’t the WSJ include the photo of Mitch and Elaine in the hospital? Mitch is holding a newspaper but the date is obscured. He’s also dressed in street clothes, not a hospital gown. This whole situation still doesn’t pass the smell test. The Kentucky governor asked multiple times for direct word from McConnell and McConnell didn’t respond. John Stroger, President of the Cook County Board (in which Chicago sits), was in a coma for about 2 years before being declared dead and for most or all of that time he held office if I'm recalling correctly.
