The Republican candidates running for office this year in south Florida are touting a campaign promise of making things more affordable, yet they also promote their support for donOLD and MAGA. They either refuse to answer or they offer a bigly word salad when asked how the tariffs they support are lowering the cost of living for their (potential) constituents.

As we get closer to the midterm elections, and if trump's approval continues to nosedive, what's he gonna do? As crazy as he's been before, we ain't seen nothin, yet.

General consensus seems to be that he's given up on the whole "winning" the election thing, so he's concentrating on rigging the elections.  On the plus side the 90 limit on purging voter rolls has just passed so White House's wish to have mass disqualification of voters may have run out the clock.

I'm thinking it's going to be day of the election disruption with National Guard and/or ICE agents interfering with polling stations.  The White House will also try to knee cap the postal service and interfere with mail in ballots.

The Great Incompetent hugely endorsed Mike Lindell (My [face buried in a ] Pillow guy) and he went down in flames hugely.  The endorsement was a huge failure. Huge failure.  For all those people who were afraid to stand up to the weak little bully in (what's left of) the White House, time to reconsider your choices.

Wisconsin's 7th district congressional candidates are set.

 

67 year old Fred Clark (D) and 27 year old Michael Alfonso (R)

 

Looking into Clark's political statements, he makes sense to me, compared to Wisconsin's GOP legacy. 

The downside IMO is his age and some unfortunate dirt the GOP is spreading about him.  

 

Alfonso is Sean Duffy's son-in-law and is endorsed by Trump.  That still might be a good thing in Wisconsin's 7th. 

The 7th is Secretary Duffy's prior district when he served in the House.  

The Cook Report predicts the 7th is solid GOP.

 

What grabs my attention is Alfonso reminds me of some other good old Catholic boys I new from school days in the upper Midwest.

He looks gay as a picnic basket.  I checked into it and see I'm not the first to say that.  😆

BOTH of those registrations are listed as “active.”
