Stable Genius Posted yesterday at 01:12 AM Posted yesterday at 01:12 AM Max Miller (R-Ohio) has had a checkered past going back to his high school days. In 2007, Miller pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges after being charged with assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest; the charges were later dismissed as part of a diversion program. In 2009, he was charged with underage drinking; after he pleaded no contest, that charge was also dismissed under a first-time offenders' program. In 2010, Miller pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct stemming from a late-night physical altercation in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.[5][8] In 2011, he was charged with "operating a vehicle without reasonable control" and operating a vehicle impaired (OVI) after crashing his Jeep Grand Cherokee, and told officers that he had had "two to three beers and several shots" the night before and "woke up in urine-soaked pants".[8] Miller pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and failure to control.[8] In 2018 and 2021, he called the events "youthful mistakes". The House Ethics Committee announced Tuesday that it is investigating allegations that Rep. Max engaged in domestic violence and illegal drug use after Miller’s ex-wife accused him of physically abusing her and their daughter. And Father-in-Law Senator Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) is after him, calling him not fit for office. Heck of a guy. The constituents in his district deserve far better than a maladroit like Miller. stevenkesslar 1 Quote
