I need a 1000 watt power adapter for my Vitamix blender. Does anyone know where I can pick one of these up in Pattaya?

I am assuming this is a western 120V Vitamix and you want a transformer to step down from 220V. 1000w may be correct, but the vitamix I use to have ran at 1300w on 120. Make sure the amps are at or below 9A. If so then a 1000w transformer will be correct. I hate Home Pro as there prices are ridiculous and their staff is untrained, but they are all over Thailand including Pattaya. They have a wide selection of transformers.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I was at TukCom today and tried the store downstairs. They had exactly what I wanted. Cost was 2850 baht. We brought it to the apartment and plugged it in and it worked great. Delicious smoothies at last!

I don't have the 379 version. I have a professional version. The difference is in the power. I like big dicks and big powerful blenders.

Now that I've seen the video, I want one. I didn't know you could cook soup via friction because the blades whir so high. That has to be quite a feature. And kneading bread, I didn't know it could do that. And a 7-yr guarantee!

 

I am glad you are using a blender instead of a juicer. With juicing you leave out all the good fiber and this machine seems to process that well. That means it is healthy for you.

 

Unfortunately, it is much too expensive for me, considering the fact you also have to fork out another 3000 baht for the voltage adapter. Does it come in the 220-volt version? Wait, don't answer that. I don't want to know. It's too much money. But damn, Michael you are an excellent salesman. Have you considered working as their company rep?

This one is great. Most are a great deal around 500.00 USD.

 

The ones for 240 v in Thailand are closer to 900 USD. So, as you see it is cheaper to buy in USA and bring over and many do just that. I saw one in Bangkok before and it was over 30,000.

The Watermelon fruit shakes are so much sugar you would die if you watched. I know. I did. I was at Mr. Rit's beach chairs a few years back and I would get 3 or 4 of these everyday. I did this for years. Finally, I said that I could not have something as it had too much sugar and the BF said, "why you drink that then?" I said that Watermelon's did not have much sugar and were all natural. He said watch this and ordered a shake. I watched them make it and it has more sugar than a Mountain Dew. LOL Oh well, I knew they were good for some reason.

 

The boys and I mix different things in our shakes each night. Last night we put in one apple, one banana, one carrot, a few sticks of Asparagus, some celery and some frozen blueberries. I always start with Water and add Protein Powder.

 

However, you can really put anything in them and it tastes great. We have been experimenting as Thailand has different fruit than USA. I love the process. The Vitamix does come with a recipe book but I haven't used it much as I much prefer just playing and testing.

Watermelon and pineapple are both high in sugar. Avoid.

I may get this at Versasu since they have a store near the Embassy in Bangkok on Wireless Rd. and I need to go there anyway. I read on ThaiVisa that they also have these units for the same price at the Emporium.
