VIP Pool at The Avenue in Pattaya

Featured Replies

I had a great time at The Avenue's newest Pool hall, VIP Pool. It is great and a wonderful place to take your Thai boyfriend or a group of sexy guys for a relaxing day or evening.

The new pool hall boasts 14 pool tables, and is open from 11 am – 2 am, and offers drinks with reasonable prices. The hall is open daily, and the hourly fee from 11 am – 6 pm is 150 baht, and from 6 pm – 2 am is 200 baht.

It is on the ground floor of The Avenue right across from the Closed California Wow (which betrayed it customers and closed). :)

The Avenue use to be fabulous to hang out at before Central Festival opened but still the area is nice and has this great pool hall and Major Cinema and Bowling.

I loved VIP Pool!

Damn! Another misleading post. I was looking for a dip in that VIP pool but alas not a pool but a pool hall. Or as my bf calls it Table Snooker. He is already hooked on that Japanese Sushi restaurant on the second level and now I will never get him out of that center with a pool hall. The Japanese buffet restaurant is rather good and is netting is a good crowd of sea food lovers.

I went in with a group of boys to play snooker. Guess what!!! They don't have snooker balls. We left.

Did they have snooker cues or pool cues? For those who don't know the difference one is made of maple and one of ash; also snooker cues are narrower toward the tip; and one has wrappings on the butt end and the other doesn't.

Sorry Doug. I hate you made your way there for nothing. I enjoy this style of pool much more than a regular Snooker table. I guess that is because I grew up with this.

What about you? What did you grow up playing? What do you prefer? Or, was it the Thai boys that didn't want to play this?

Out of curiosity, are these pool tables (larger pockets, etc.) typical in a bar in the US or snooker tables? In at least some of the photos, looks like the old standard pool (not snooker) table I'm more used to from the states.

They are the same pool tables you see in the USA Bob.

You should be thrilled that Thais prefer snooker to pool, then, Khun KT. A game of snooker requires a total of 21 balls - and that's before you count those of the players :D

I never played until I came to Thailand. I like snooker because you can have up to 6 players play one game. There's more excitement and I like to have more boys around.
