Retro video games and more from Ohio State Marching Band

Featured Replies

This seems to be all over the place now, so perhaps everyone has seen it. But for someone like myself who enjoyed Space Invaders, Mario Brothers, Tetris, and all the rest, this is pretty cool. Amazing choreography. I wish the audio was better though....

If you don't want to watch the whole thing, the galloping horse at about the 6 minute mark is awesome.

Agreed. Awesome! Now I know why Americans like football games. I knew it couldn't be the football :o

I grew up in Football central (deep South). My school had 300 people in its high school. 1,000 from K-12. But, the Football stadium was over 10k people. LOL And, I was in the band and I LOVED it. It really did save my life and gave me friends and security and a sense of belonging. We marched all over the USA and we were great. Thank you for sharing this video as it did remind me of my younger days.

I actually thought of you, Michael, when I was posting it. I know from readiing here that you have an interest in video games, but I don't know how far back that goes. You many be one of those young ones that did not have the expereience of real arcades in the 80s.....space invaders, asteroids, and the like. :D

I wasn't lucky enough to be in the marching band, but I am amazed at what they can do. And yes, fountainhall...for me the marching band is the highlight of the american football game...with the exception of some rather attractive receivers wearing very tight pants. :p

Glad you all liked the video.

Cheers.
