April 12, 201313 yr So, I can only assume that there must be some hidden Thai that demands that Thai boys leave the shower head nozzle pointing right at where a farangs head might be as we reach in to turn the shower on - twice today already I have turned on the shower expecting to hear the water outpouring nicely into the bath only to get a face full of water !!! Perhaps it's because it's Songkran and they are making an early start !!? Lol

April 13, 201313 yr I have to say, NIrish Guy, this isn't the most exciting first post from your trips that I've read. I hope you're having more fun than this would indicate. In fact, I'm sure you are and I look forward to reading all the gory details.

I learned many years ago to simply reach up and move it to point away from me before I even turn the tap on. Works for me, anyway. The part that sometimes gets me is them positioning of the bath mat so it's completely saturated when I walk in, rendering it useless for it's intended purpose. If it is, I take my friend's towel and use that (assuming it isn't draped over a chair in the other room where they change) and just call housekeeping to ask for replacements.
