She was the way-over-the-top sexy Patsy in “Absolutely Fabulous”, the good time girl ready to drop everything    for the nearest young man about town. Even today, at 66, Joanna Lumley still looks fab.

Perhaps steamy heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio – still not married at 38 (goodness, is he really THAT old!) – just did not find her so attractive, for the pair had to go through 27 takes before they got their kiss scene just right. Or just right enough to satisfy director Martin Scorsese shooting his latest movie “The Wolf of Wall Street”.

Britain’s The Sun newspaper suggests he was nervous? Surely not! The actor has kissed many a lady on screen and off. But curiously, did you know that his first screen kiss was – Oh my God! – with a man? And it seemed so easy for him. Wonder how many takes that took!

It was in the movie “Total Eclipse” with British actor David Thewlis. This depicts the passionate relationship between French poet Rimbaud and his older mentor Paul Verlaine.

That's a great photo in that Sun article. They're both dressed nicely, DiCaprio in a good suit and tie, althought his shirt looks ordinary, Lumley in a lovely dress.

 

DiCaprio's left hand looks awkward. It should be on her leg, not his!

 

Yes, Lumley is a National Treasure. I first fell in love with her as the delightful Avenger's girl Purdey.
