Separation is hard for all of us but it is has always been part of human life; think of the families kept apart by war or by the demands of work. In these circumstances, we must accept that those we love may well depend on us and to continue to support them. And it's easier for us to do so now that we are globally connected. When I first met P seventeen years ago  ,  it was much harder....even mobile phones weren't always available.  I bought him his first one in Tuc Com, then only a quarter of the size it it is now. Now we can talk anytime we like by phone or on LINE. So I'm grateful, even if sometimes I feel sad  when we finish our conversation.
On a positive note, I'm confident that in four so months we shall be together with our loved ones.

There is only two ways, one dont tell him at all at the risk of him finding out. Two tell him the truth, he will be hurt but you'll to make up to him after. 
If you travel and go to bar scene in bangkok and pattaya, chances are high that your boy's network will let him know that you are in town. Option two might be uncomfortable but i always thing being honest of what you want is important too.

I don't see any problem with that ,If you like the boy and meet him on steady basis every time you are in Thailand and have good time with him . you are in daily contact with him with no money involved it's certainly fine .sometimes buterfling can be exhausted and not always fun if you find the one who is suitable for you when you are in Thailand it's great and you can consider yourself a lucky man.
Maybe you are in love with him but it can't be fulfill because the geographic distance so you have to compromise on see him from time to time as long as you don't make payment transfers to the boy and he is not asking for it you are fine.
