I always stay at The Amara.... I'm surprised no one has mentioned it. It's a great 4 star hotel, modern clean rooms, amazing roof top pool, great food and very reasonably priced in my opinion. Much cheaper than Le meridian and only 2 mins walk along the same road!

On my first visit last year I stayed at Amara hotel which is max 10 minute walk to soi twilight (on the same road) and less to tawan bar.... it's a really nice hotel with great roof top pool and excellent food! I'm planning on staying there again on my visit next month... highly recommend it!

Sounds good! I'm there Friday to Tuesday, should I do the weekend in Bangkok or Pattaya? Planning to do 2 nights at each.
