GPAPA reacted to GoldMember in BKK Trip report April 2019 - Set my mind freeThis is my 5th trip to Thailand and my first trip with my husband and child. All my previous trips were solo. I will try to focus on the more interesting gay parts of my trip, a fact that will probably make this trip report shorter than previous ones, considering the specific nature of this trip.
A brief intro, 35 yo Israeli married + 1.
Last trip was 16 months ago; I came for White Party 2018. At that time I knew it would take me some time to come again alone to Thailand and I set my mind on returning for Songkran 2019. As time passed by, I started realizing that I will not be able to pull those dates off so I set my mind on the week after which was also Jewish Passover. But, my partner was less enthusiastic on letting me travel solo during the holiday since he had tons of work and was not able to take full care of our daughter this time. I understood him and the situation but I still missed my BKK. So instead I decided to try and make it a family trip. I realized that traveling with our daughter while my husband had tons of work that he will have to do during our vacation is not my best option. So I convinced his parents and siblings to join us. It was quite easy, who doesn't want to have his vacation in Thailand? So this was a big family trip that I planned and arranged to all of us. I also knew that the maximum time that we should all spend together is a week. More than that will be too much family time for all the people involved J So for this big trip, I scheduled a weekend in BKK for all of us, then mid-week we spent at a resort in Krabi and then we split so my husband, daughter and I had another weekend in BKK without the rest. It took me lots of planning, booking, coordinating for the whole group. But it was worth it.
We flew the weekend after Songkran. This year, a smaller Israeli airline, Arkia opened the 2nd direct TLV-BKK route. It was a shitty flight with a 25yo plane. But my daughter and I slept most of it so I didn't care much. Having a 2yo child in BKK has its advantages. We didn't need to queue almost anywhere. Once Thai airport staff saw we were with a stroller we were guided to go to fast track which was nice. Since this trip I was not alone, I tried to leave little room for mistakes so I asked Lebua to send us a van with a proper seat for my daughter. 2500 THB. Arrived at the Tower Club @ Lebua state at 6 PM Friday evening. Hotel is nice but I think for its cost, 235 USD a night, there are many better options than that one. But, my sister in-law really wanted to stay in the hotel of the film "The Hangover 2" so I let her have it her way. It's a very nice hotel with large rooms and high balconies observing BKK and free lounge. Excellent service and professional staff.
We had dinner at Siam Discovery's Outback. Again, not my first choice, but I usually comprise about things I don't care that much. After that we put our daughter to sleep and the pre-booked hotel nanny arrived (300THB per hour). Now It's dads time for our night out in BKK. It's my husband's first night in BKK and I was keen on showing him some of BKK’s jewels.
Arrived at Jupiter just in time for the show. We both enjoyed the eye candy show and it was a full house. Offing was not an option considering the fact that our daughter was with us in our suite. Some of the stars there are really impressive and for sure would be an good offing option for us, although it seems to me they are better at being looked at than actually having fun with, but I maybe wrong here.
From there off to Moonlight. It was my first time there, and after reading some threads about it, I has higher expectations. House was almost empty. Some of the guys were hot but it was by far less entertaining then Jupiter. It could have been that it was the 2nd show of that night and maybe it's always like that in later hours. But even with taking into consideration the late hour of the second show, something about their show was just not sexy enough. Maybe coming in time for first show is a better option, but we did not have time to check that out.
After that, we went to DJ station. A solid stable BKK institution. House was full and we enjoyed the crowd. I never liked too much the music there… too much pop for my ear. My husband liked it more than me. Anyways, we both enjoyed our time there since the combo of guys, music and alcohol can’t be beaten J We were not actually looking for sex since we were both very tired and also things were a little logistically complicated with having a stranger as a nanny in our room so we preferred calling it a night.
The morning after my husband had to work, so I took all the rest to Siam Paragon – they did shopping and I took my daughter to Sea World. Sea World is just one of many nice things that I would have never think on even easting my time in BKK if I was without my daughter. Having said that, it is the most impressive aquarium I have seen compared to those in the States and Europe. I took her back just in time for her nap, I had a vision in my mind that while she is napping and my husband is working in our room, it is my time to shine.
Arrived at the Prince at about 3PM. BKK was very rough on traffic our entire stay so whenever I went alone I took a motor taxi. I entered and chose the most muscular ripped guy I saw and we went together to the room. After showering I waited about 3 minutes. Then, the mamasan guy knocked on the room and told me that I had to choose another guy since he couldn’t work now. I found it weird, but decided that I don’t care that much and went outside to choose another guy. On my way out back to choosing, I saw the guy that I choose coming back to my room as if everything is as usual, then the manager stopped him and they argued loudly in Thai. This thing seemed very unprofessional but again – I didn’t care that much. The manager said he is sorry and that the guy I chose is bad service etc… I told him OK and went to choose me another guy. The mamasan guy in Prince is generally unhelpful by saying all the guys are great there and excellent service so I again choose by intuition. I choose another muscle guy. Massage is as I usually get in prince, very sexual, lots of oil involved, muscles flexing and genitals being rubbed and touched until we both climax. Tipped the guy 1500 THB, and left very happily to my room and even had a one hour nap before our daughter wakes up and we continue our evening together with daddy being much happier after his massage haha.

GPAPA reacted to macaroni21 in 3 bars, 3 massages in BangkokSince I have benefitted so much from lurking and hoovering up the information on this site, I should share my experiences here too. This is from last week, a quick stop-over in Bangkok.
Dream Boys Paradiso - newly open. Had about 6-7 escorts generally over 30 and somewhat muscular (not buffed). They were in jeans. Unfortunately, I had to sit through about an hour of the drag queen show (10pm?) before I saw them in a line-up. Drinks: 350 baht. There were about 4-5 other customers.
Screw Boys - Over 20 boys, mostly slim/lean, in shorts. Didn't appear to be any show. There were just 2 other customers at 10pm. Drinks 300 baht.
Fresh Boys (near Screw Boys & up a flight of stairs) - About 20 boys around 9:50pm in shorts. Show began around 10:05 and lasted about 50 minutes. Though there were a couple of drag acts, most of the performance was done by the bar's crew themselves, with explicit display in almost all show items. Will definitely go back. Drinks 350 baht. The bar was full, i.e. about 40-50 customers. Unfortunately, some of them smoked.
Prince massage - had to choose a masseur from the glass aquarium. There were about 20 to choose from (somehow I can't remember what time I was there!), most had bodies that could be described as 'athletic fit.' The one I picked turned out to be Vietnamese. The massage room had an ensuite, but the massage table was placed against the wall. This was as good an indication as any that I was not to expect a good quality massage. Indeed, it was so-so (masseur was nude) and quickly transitted to play. That too was so-so. 60-minute old massage cost 900 baht; minimum tip stated to be 1,000 baht.
Urban Male - had to choose a masseur from a line-up of 6-7 guys, mostly average looking. The room had two massage tables and a shower. The massage was even less serious than at Prince, and the afters perfunctory. More importantly, the whole session lasted only about 45 minutes -- as I discovered only on exit. The guy said '10 minutes more' at some point, which I believed, thus hastening the conclusion. 60-minute oil massage was 1,000 baht, minimum tip 1,000 baht. It's off my list now. I can forgive lacklustre massage skills or mechanical pleasuring, but when a manager does not control what can be monitored (the service time provided), it speaks volumes about even basic standards of customer service.
Candle-T Spa - I had actually intended to try Sabaidee Spa a few doors away, but the receptionist dd not speak a word of English. It proved impossible to get any information for making a decision. So I walked a few steps to Candle-T. Had to choose a masseur from pictures on a tablet, but there were only about 7-8 guys. The massage was skilled and very relaxing, but after turn-over, it was virtually abandoned. Clearly his interest was to progress to the extra service. This turned out to be quite good though he had difficulty getting hard. 60-minute oil massage 800 baht. Minimum tip 500 baht (not too sure that my memory is correct on this one).

GPAPA reacted to JackR in Bars Report 2019Hi All
I'm just home from two weeks in Thailand
I've been an avid reader of these forums since I started travelling to Thailand over 5 years ago, and it has been of enormous help to me! So I thought it was time to finally give something back. This is not a "full trip report" - no discussions of daily itineraries or offs - I've just written some general notes on the bars I visited on this recent trip.
These comments / observations are based around my own experiences and preferences, and I'm sure there will be some disagreements and maybe some reiteration with other threads, but nonetheless, let me know your thoughts.
Jupiter - I made three visits here. For me, probably the best selection of guys in BKK. If you like young guys, with boy-next-door / model looks and athletic bodies, then there is lots of choice here. One of the guys who takes part in the main solo and group dance numbers was particularly hot - I don't know if his name is Arm or Aek? (I'm going by the Jupiter thread.)
What I also liked about this club when I first visited it last year was that the mamsans were not pushy. Neung was so nice and very helpful to me on that visit. However, this year he was on holiday to Pattaya, and I struggled to get the attention of any of the other mamasans at all. They all seemed to be glued to particular customers (big tippers?). Even when I asked one of them about pricing, he just told me how much it was and then walked away - didn't seem interested in helping. Nevertheless, I got what I wanted in the end, after some persistence.
Another lesson learned here was to ask for the one you want early to avoid disappointment! They get taken quickly.
Moonlight - I was so happy to finally visit Moonlight. The club opened just after my last visit in 2018, so for the last year, I've been following it through this forum and the live Facebook videos - so to see the stars was like seeing celebrities! Mr. Babe is beautiful and his dancing made him even more attractive. And I found Mr. Smart to be more handsome than his pics. Maybe it's his neat haircut, but he looks more like an educated, middle-class professional than most of the other boys. He was in a choreographed matador routine with Mr. Lucky which I wasn't a big fan of. Sadly no Nicky!
Some of the non-superstar guys available here are also pretty good looking. But it made me wonder - why would you want to work in a bar like this where you are treated as a second-tier model, when you could work somewhere like Jupiter - where all gogos are created equal? Or do you think they hope to graduate to superstar?
Mamasans here were very pleasant, and I'm also glad they removed that staircase that used to come down over the audience onto the front of the stage. It blocked the view.
X-Boys - I love the crew here. They welcome my friend and I back with hugs and kisses every year - and our wallets! But I find them so charming and hilarious that I don't mind - it's always a good night. The boys here are typically on the twinkish side and I've enjoyed several boys from this establishment - but to be honest, for the last couple of years, I've found the best eyecandy here to be the Viet waiters.
Mamsan here told me that they are moving after next month, but she doesn't know where. But as per the other threads on this topic, it seems like all the bars have been saying this for the last year, so it's hard to know if its real or not.
As for the Soi itself - I wouldn't have described it as quiet - there seemed to be a steady stream of people at the lower end - but its certainly quieter as the years pass, and sad to see the corrugated iron fencing covering up the closed businesses at the far end.
Dreamboys - the first bar I ever visited in Bangkok (as per a recommendation on this forum of course) so I always love coming back here. I find the shows here to be the wackiest of the bars that I regularly visit. I visited only once on this trip, and arrived late, so missed the giant inflatable cock soaking everyone, but was treated to screeching ladyboys plucking some innocents from the audience, stripping them and pretending to fuck them on stage before squirting cream everywhere. I find it so ridiculous it's actually funny.
Always a varied selection of guys here - something for everyone. But the stage was not as crowded as it was on previous years. I've been hoping that the handsome coyote dancer who has been there for years will one day be available....
Tawan - the guys in this bar are not specifically my type - more mature, bodybuilder-types - nor am I a fan of masks and leather gear, but something always draws me to come back here. It's almost mesmerising watching them, just for their size! They had an interesting show with an airport security theme - you can imagine.
BoyzBoyzBoyz (Pattaya) - I would say I come to Pattaya just for BBB. There is a varied selection of guys here and I've always found something that has piqued my interest - plus, I like taking someone to the short time rooms upstairs while the show is still ongoing.
But this year the guys were all fully dressed in street clothes (except for 2 or 3 who were shirtless) - I was suprised how much this reduced the hotness of the selection. In the end I ended up getting nothing at all.
BBB also has a fairly skilful show. There was an acrobatic/gymnastic routine at the very beginning, and then the regular breakdancers, who are always very impressive. The compere/owner of this club is also pretty funny, and a young waiter with anime hair is always really friendly to us.
At midnight, everyone was ushered over to the new disco bar on the other side of the street. I didn't fully understand the point of this. The same selection of boys just stand on the stage at the second venue and everything continues as normal.
Some general observations on the crowds:
Not very many farang - mainly Asian customers now (Chinese). I guess that for the gay communities in western europe and north america, cultural/societal and technological changes mean that there is perhaps less of a desire to travel so far for paid sex. (I, on the other hand, don't know why everyone doen't want to come here for these adventures!)
Also, a lot more women. This was particularly evident in BBB. On both nights, it was filled with large groups of both Asian and Western women. I find these loud, drunk young girls annoying to be honest. The Asian girls do seem to bring down guys from the stage to talk and party with them, but I don't think they off them. And the white girls just seem to come to gawk and laugh. But at the same time I understand, and reluctanly appreciate that a wider demographic may be required to keep these clubs open. I just hope they don't open their own women-only clubs and steal all the guys.
I've probably forgotten a few things, but that's all for now - I hope this has been of some help, particularly to any newbies out there!
