In order to have your character assasinated, you have to have character. Riptide's very first post in this thread contains this information about the deceased: "Kocis, a convicted child molester, was the owner of Cobra Video, a popular bareback twink studio" Enough said.

Your bizarre interest in this case is what is pathetic, along with your continual hammering of escorts Benjamin and Scott. What is your animosity towards escorts all about? Yet you are all worked up about the death of a predatory pedophile barebacker. The Palm Springs party will be quite fine without you, so don't bother to come. Just stay home and exhale.
-
If you thought that riptide's interest in this case could get any more bizarre, you would have been wrong. He donated a thousand dollars to finding the killer! Dude, the predator is already dead. Your money comes too late!

"How is Palm Springs in February?" Well, I don't know yet, but ask me in a few days! Or better yet, come to our killer party on the 17th!

This was riptide yesterday: First off, I’d like to personally apologize to everyone and anyone who read my last posted remarks within this thread. The language of which I used horrifies me a day later. Calling someone a stupid mother fucker to convey a thought of reasoning, discredits my point of view with no ability to rebound from. I’m working on that. Sometimes, I need to chill, before I post. The reason I say that is because I never got around to sharing why my inappropriate use of words set me off they way they did, and quite frankly, had I done that, would still hold no value for it anyway. I don’t believe for a moment that Scott Adler is a bad person. But today he really lets one rip. Scott is now nearly an accessory to murder and a "fucking asshole"! Wow. The tides can really change in a day!
-
Adam Smith never met Scott Adler, thus his philosophy does not account for an incessantly aggravating factor that by sheer endurance would wear down normal market practices.

Oz, I thought Townie was complaining about the hooker in question encouraging other young escorts to charge high rates...to their detriment. He wasn't challenging the hooker in question's right to charge whatever he wants for himself. If the younger hookers are so stupid as to follow such advice, then maybe the hooker in question is actually doing them the favor of showing them the door before they are too long in the wrong profession!

Conway is more conservative than I am, or so I think, but I do agree with him on Edwards. As a trial lawyer myself, I cringe when I see slick guys like Edwards trying to act sincere. His "Two Americas" campaign seemed designed to split the country, not unite it. I think he left the Senate just so he wouldn't have to box himself into any clear cut positions before the next election. His agony over supporting gay marriage is not encouraging. Right now I am for Al Gore. Obama needs experience.

Why is Adam Smith so often quoted but so rarely read? Is he the prsioner of his 900-page text "The Wealth of Nations?" My favorite Newsweek columnist Allan Sloan reviews the new book "On The Wealth of Nations" by conservative humorist/pundit P.J. O'Rourke in today's New York Times Book Review. For all of you wondering what it is that Adam Smith has been trying to tell us, here is a glorified Cliff's Notes version, apparently quite readable! http://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/07/books/review/Sloan.t.html

Thanks, BigK, for pointing out that Jesse's farewell is not his obituary. When one sayys he regrets not meeting Jesse, I think that it must be a regret that there was no sexual encounter, because the person behind Jesse is still available for coffee or donuts, or whatever. Hopefully that person will also decide to keep posting here even if under a new handle. I gotta admire someone who is openly HIV in the escort business today. That courage should serve him well in life...wherever it leads him.

I also do not want to read reviews from women. This is a gay male site. I remember the women coming into the Gaiety and trying to make the show all about them. They should find their own playground. They could call it Hoogirls!

New Year's Eve bombers hit Bangkok today, causing two deaths and several injuries as six bombs went off in the city. No word on KyTop, but I think he was in Pattaya for New Year's eve. 2 Die, 20 Hurt As Bombings Hit Bangkok By DENIS D. GRAY The Associated Press Sunday, December 31, 2006; 9:35 AM BANGKOK, Thailand -- At least six bomb blasts rocked the Thai capital late Sunday, killing at least two people and prompting the city to disperse thousands of people who had gathered to celebrate New Year's Eve. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombings, which capped a year of unrest in Thailand, including a military coup three months ago and a mounting Muslim insurgency in its southernmost provinces. National police chief Gen. Ajirawit Suphanaphesat confirmed six explosions on the iTV television network and said authorities were inspecting several more locations where there were suspicious packages. He said the insurgents were probably not behind Sunday's attacks, which injured at least 20 people. The capital's most spectacular New Year's celebration, at the Central World Plaza shopping mall complex, was canceled and authorities told thousands of celebrants to leave. Hotels stepped up security, searching cars on their premises. Police Lt. Gen. Chongrak Juranond said one person died at Chulalongkorn hospital. Another police officer, Lt. Col. Teerawit Butsaban, said a second person succumbed to injuries at another hospital. Dr. Surachet Sathitniramai, a senior health ministry official, said more than 20 people had been hospitalized at four hospitals in Bangkok. Ajirawit said six people were injured by a bomb in a slum, and four by a bomb near a department store at Victory Monument, a major traffic circle. He said the other blasts were near a police post, where two were injured, and the fourth in a northern suburb. "I heard a loud explosion and I thought it was fireworks. I ran there and saw a bleeding woman at the bus stop," said Somrak Manphothong, a receptionist at the Saxophone bar near the Victory Monument. "Another guy was lying on the floor covering with blood and his wife was shaking his body." The police chief said that "the situation remains under control." Bombings and shootings occur almost daily in Thailand's three southernmost provinces of Yala, Narathiwat and Pattani, where an Islamic insurgency that flared in January 2004 has killed more than 1,900 people. Muslims make up the majority in overwhelmingly Buddhist Thailand's deep south, where they have long complained of discrimination. The insurgents are not known to have launched any attacks in Bangkok. Thailand has also been immersed in political turmoil. In September, Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra was ousted in a bloodless coup by Gen. Sondhi Boonyaratkalin. The military installed Surayud Chulanont as the interim prime minister until elections in October 2007.

"Well, Barry, it looks like Adam Smith found a better pic than you did, but Happy Holidays anyway! " In one of those computer things I do not understand, all I saw was a red x. Then when I saw KYTop's compliment on the pic, I did the right click thing and now the pic appears. I don't know why that is, but, yes, Barry, it is a nice pic too! happy Holidays!

...and it just gets better! Keep unwrapping those presents, Adam! http://www.men4rentnow.com/fs/149678.6C5DFD92.jpg

While I agree with all of the warm sentiments expressed at the nearing anniversary of this site, I do wonder if it is a sign of the times that we now celebrate the "almost anniversary." In the past, one would wait to celebrate until the actual date, but we are we now in such a hurry that we celebrate ahead of time? What's next...almost dead obituaries?

I think Adam Smnith and I are going to vote as a team on this one!

What a total hypocrite/liar Benjamin Nicholas seems to be.
Lucky replied to TownsendPLocke's topic in The Beer Bar
Say what you will about Benjamin Nicholas, but on his every blog I enjoy his eye candy, and, this week, to top it off, I actually enjoyed reading his very funny spin on car buying. (Ben- I bought an Infiniti, but they suckered me with a drop dead cute eye candy salesman making his very first sale! How could I say no?) -
I agree. The better the kiss, the better the bang! http://www.actuacine.net/Poster/kiss.jpg

In the what will they think of next department, German engineers are showing real ingenuity to help make safe sex easier: German sex educators plan spray-on condom From Reuters 10:44 AM PST, November 30, 2006 BERLIN -- German sex educators plan to launch a spray-on condom tailor-made for all sizes. Jan Vinzenz Krause from the Institute for Condom Consultancy, a Singen-based practice that offers advice on condom use, told Reuters today the product aimed to help people enjoy better and safer sex lives. "We're trying to develop the perfect condom for men that's suited to every size of penis," he said. "We're very serious." Krause's team (spraykondom.de) is developing a type of spray can into which the man inserts his penis first. At the push of a button it is then coated in a rubber condom. "It works by spraying on latex from nozzles on all sides," he said. "We call it the '360 degree procedure' - once round and from top to bottom. It's a bit like a car wash." Krause said the plan is to make the product ready for use in about five seconds. He said it would function more effectively as a contraceptive because it would fit better and not slip. However, before the new condom can be sold in shops, the firm must ensure that the latex is evenly spread when sprayed, as well as optimise the vulcanization process. Krause hopes the high tech condom, which will be available in different strengths and colours, will on the market by 2008. He said the spray can would likely cost some 20 euros ($26) as a one-off purchase. The latex cartridges - sufficient for up to 20 applications - would cost roughly 10 euros, he said. Krause said he had hit upon the idea when considering the difficulties some people faced using condoms, and drew inspiration from spray-on plasters now used in medicine.
