I will be spending a few days in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, arriving later this week. I hope to sample some hot Dominican guys while there and would welcome any advice. From what I've read, there's an active rentboy scene in certain areas of the Colonial Zone, on the Malecon and in a couple bars, but I have no experience hiring a guy from the street or from a club, especially in a city like Santo Domingo. Any advice?

Hey Axiom, Thanks for the great report. You did better than I during my trip to Havana last fall. I too was with an organized tour that made it tough to break away and explore on my own. My Spanish is not great, but its enough to communicate the basics with a local guy. But in spite of that, it just didn't happen for me. I did meet a couple of stunning (absolutley stunning!) guys for sale hanging around Avenida 23 near the National Hotel, but my hotel would not let native Cubans visit my room either and I had been warned about going to a place chosen by someone on the street. I can't wait to return. Like you, I plan to do things a bit differently next time.
