I'm not even sure by what definition they mean a movie this year. Since you know all movie theaters were closed. That said if I was the academy I'd have been all about The Queen's Gambit and Bill And Ted 3. In the best picture category the only movie I've heard of is The Trial Of The Chicago Seven and that was just the same thing Aaroron Sorkin has been putting out for three decades. It's interesting but it's hardly groundbreaking. The Queen's Gambit on the other hand managed to make chess interesting, introduce us to a great new actress and handle homosexuality really well. And Bill And Ted 3 was just fun.
