Well the saunas are mostly a daytime activity. Also you need to remember that yesterday was a national holiday so there were less people out and about in general. I was at my regular straight bar last night - which usually has about 50 or 60 people in it and there were only about eight peole there. The french don't do anything on their holidays. Which makes sense, if you tried to go out in America on Labor Day a ton of shit would be closed too.
