Down is 150 feet from Up. It has s corner door and is in a basement. It has an arched ceiling stuccoed to make it look like a cave. Zero windows and poor layout. Very depressing even before you see what comes in there. Up is spacious with nice furniture and full of windows. Theres a hostel next door so various young people mingle in but most of the young guys are escorts. Theres a huge full wall tv that shows soccer games. The better looking younger bartenders work days at Up and attract some nice young friends.

HOTELS IN PRAGUE Hotels in Prague are very plentiful and very cheap. Ive stayed at a dozen in several parts of town. Remember, many of the providers live outside of Prague and when they come to meet you it is hard for them to find their way. Therefore, several of us have come to prefer a central Wenceslas Square location. Of the hotels the Radisson Blu Alcorn is most of our favorite if its priced low ($110). Its an extremely elegant true 5 star hotel. If you have any sort of status or maybe can slip a tip, rooms 302 and 306 are mini suites with extravagant extras like fireplaces, heated floors, marble everything, tub in living room, etc etc etc. Very impressive. 306 is more refined and LA modern. 302 is over-the-top eastern European modern. Both rooms face an unslightly atrium room. Im in 302 now. The other hotel I like, if its cheaper than the Radisson, is the Jalta. Its billed as 5 star but is more 4 star. It is right on the squares center with amazing views from front balconies. Room 701 is my favorite. It has a patio rooftop balcony about 15x15 with the best views on the square. The rooms themselves are small at Jalta and do not ever get a rear room. Theres a huge construction project behind the hotel.The main floor is Cafe Como, a very nice cafe that has a huge sidewalk cafe. The Radisson is most peoples favorite, even with no views but some weekend days its rates double. I use Radisson points for those days.

Yes, theres a lot of sights around the area. I always wish I didnt have so many boys to see that I could get around more ,( I hope you don't believe that). Even tbough the guys arent a lot cheaper. The hotels in Chapirnero may be a little rough. On the north end, by where the 2 best massuer saunas are, is where the financial center begins. Much safer and nice hotels. There's a very nice Holiday Inn there.I think around 70th Street?
