I just got off a plane and the guy next to me was scanning thru “Asian Wife” shopping web sites. He’d scroll down thru the pics... open one... send some kind of text message... then continue.  
 
I suppose that technically it was a “family oriented” site.  
 
(It sort of reminded me of something similar I do. .)

I attended a reading of her new book a few months ago, though it was mostly casual discussion.  She’s unique and really captivated me.

The retreat from the endless 'styling' is sort of refreshing.
Of course everything is a 'style.' But I think I like this one.

I agree in whole.
The economic disruption this policy change would create is what I think will undo it.
Business today depends on the Internet. To have Internet access fucked with in this way will not be tolerated by the Big Businesses -- the retailers, banks, manufacturers, etc etc who depend on it; and whose collective lobbying clout on K Street eclipses that of the telecoms.

Temples  in Thailand are religious symbols and in many you must wear certain clothes to enter. To do what they did is shameful and disrespectful.  There is even a sign leaving the airport that talks about how the Buddha is not a collectable but a symbol for the Thai people.  When in Rome.....
