Great to hear your trip is back on. I just returned from Colombia and Gigolos still going in full force Thursday to Saturday.
That weekend when you arrive is a holiday weekend in Colombia as the  Assumption of Mary holiday falls on Monday, so it will be a "long weekend" in the capitol and Gigolos should be open on Sunday night.  Have a great trip.

Ok, I'm know I'm late with this report, but as Blanche said in an episode of THE GOLDEN GIRLS, "Better late than pregnant." LOL
So I bought tickets for my husband and I for this trip during jetblues BLACK FRIDAY sale. The tickets were so cheap from ft Lauderdale to Santo Domingo that we couldn't pass it up.
Now I bought the tickets knowing we would be there for their day of independence, but I didn't know it was Carnival as well.
Ppl always hate on spirit airlines but I love them. I have their credit card for the points benefits and it helps tremendously when buying tickets with spirit.
It's actually the only card I use because we fly their airline so often. My experience with jetblue left a lot to be desired.
When we arrived at SDQ we had to sit on the tarmac for 30 minutes. We also had to deplane and board a bus to take us to the airports entrance. It was a mess. Also you pay extra for the big seats in the front row and they are not the most comfortable.  For me. Spirit is my airline of choice to get to the DR.
Ok, so we arrive and the minute I turn my phone on its buzzing non stop. It's the DR Guys wanting to come over for MONEY and sex.
Before I left Miami I had a schedule of who I would see and at what times they would come to the apartment.
For the most part that we t well, but sometime a guy would be about 20 minutes late which was awkward because the other guy would be there waiting with me and we'd have nothing to talk about because we don't speak the same language.
As I mentioned before, I've started making videos at the suggestion of someone in this group. The videos, SURPRISINGLY have garnered lots of views, popularity and 19,000 followers on Twitter.
Shyt is CRAZY! SO now I'm recording, I've had to learn how to edit and post videos to my Twitter and onlyfans.
It's always been a fantasy of mine to do porn, but never would I have imagined filming. I don't know how the guys stand and film the porn. Omg! It's so difficult because I want to be immersed in the action as well. It is so difficult for me to record, see what's happening right before my eyes and not be physically engaged.
Whoever in this group told me to start a Twitter and onlyfans page, THANK YOU. It has been overwhelming trying to keep up with responding to the followers.  Keeping up with all 3 pages and the amount of hot Dominicans who are hitting me up to be in the videos.
Yes guys! I get daily texts from guys in the DR who beg to be in my next video. I show my husband the messages and he can't believe it either.
What's even more crazy is the guys don't want money for sex. They either like one of the guys in the video, have a fantasy about being in porn or simply want me to tag them in my video to help boost their Twitter following .
Again, this was another special trip to the DR. it was very hot and ruined a little.
This is why you should always let manny help find your guys. My hubby and  i were eating at EL CONDE. one of mannys guys saw us and tried to sit down. I told him no we wanted to alone.
The guy is very sexy but I already had a line up of guys that manny scheduled for me, but I texted him and told him it was OK for him to come to the apartment because he kept texting and asking.
He kept telling me a price of  $70. I told him I wasn't paying that and gave him my price. We went back and forth and then I finally told him NEVERMIND and to have a good weekend. In my mind I knew he wasn't going to pass up the offer to make money. Plus I didn't want sex. I just wanted to record a jack off video with him. It's posted to my twitter/onlyfans account.
He agreed to my price and what I wanted him to do. I confirmed 3 times that he understood and he said he did. He comes over, males the video, then begins to raise his voice about the pay we had agreed about.
I began to raise my voice and told him to GET OUT! GET OUT NOW! My husband comes from out the room and tells him to leave and begins to pick up his stuff to put it outside.
I grab the phone and call manny via video chat. I don't know what manny said to him, but he quickly got his shyt and got TF Out. I couldn't believe the guys was acting like that after we agreed on a price and plus we knew him.
This is a guy who I bought a phone and groceries for last year. I was in total disbelief by his behavior. Be careful when hiring these guys off the street. Especially when you are alone.  Go through manny or get a place with security or take a picture of their identification and tell them you are sending their information to a friend who is a cop. Just do it for your safety.
This new sexy guy we met is a beauty when we finished having sex he kept going back in the bedroom where my bag was. Mind you, we were done with sex and his clothes were in the living room. I told my husband he was going to try to steal something because everything he owned and needed was in the living room, but my bag was in the middle of the floor in the bedroom and he kept going by my bag doing push up.
Be mindful of your belongings at all times. I've seen a few ppl complain about manny but he provides more than just hot guys for sex.  He's like your bodyguard, translator, travel guide and protector.
The reason he doesn't like sending pics or giving the guys numbers out if because so many ppl on this site have BS him in the past with fibs of them being there or going over there.  He even rented out a space because someone told him that they were coming to have a big party and needed a VIP suite in the club.  That person never showed up and only wanted numbers to some of the guys.
Some guys have also texted me and told me they were there with manny so I immediately texted manny and he didn't know what TF I was talking about. Manny and I were laughing as the guy was telling me how they were hanging out together.
That has happened twice so that why he's not so forthcoming with information anymore.
We will be back over there in 4 weeks for some more fun and fukcing. I will upload a partial video now. You can view all the other on Twitter.
If I have misspelled words in this post, pls forgive me. I'm not wearing my glasses.
Take care and be safe everyone.

I assume that you are doing the the direct flight to Bogota via Air Canada (apologies if incorrect) which take about 6 hours. It is nice to arrive directly at your destination, but landing in the middle of the night stinks. By the time you clear customs and have your luggage (BOG has one of the strictest baggage screening in the world) it is about 5am local time. I prefer to grab a room at a nearby airport hotel and get a few hours sleep before venturing into the city. El Dorado airport is in the west extreme of the city.
Check with your hotel when they will allow you to do the check-in, as they are not as flexible as we are used to in Canada or U.S.A. Plan your travel times accordingly. Fun fact--the word in Colombian spanish for Check-in is "check-in".
If you are transferring between flghts through either Panama or Mexico City (both are major hubs) then you may want to purchase a lounge pass where you can go relax between flights. Both airports are large and offer plenty of things to do while waiting for the next leg of the journey. I have flown through Panama City many times to arrive directly in Medellin and the layover was long, but the time went rather quickly. Take some entertainment to pass the time (book, music, podcasts, magazines).
    Merry Christmas!

At the moment Omicron is spreading rapidly in Canada, especially in  Quebec. However, hospitalizations are far less than with first wave. Here, we have learned from the first wave and are better prepared. I live in a small village and it's very safe here.  Thanks/Miigwech for the update.

Thank you for the tips. How do you find the long journey to Bogota? I'm flying out of Thunder Bay. The layovers are quite long. Merry Christmas.

Oh, frig! My plans to go to Bogota could be blown out of the water because of this Omicron crap. Christmas dinner has been cancelled at my family's place because two of the teenagers have contracted Covid. The Canadian government is advising not to travel internationally. I'm not sure how the new mutation is affecting Colombia.  Any updates.  I'm triple vaxxed but who knows how virulent Omicron is. I may have to postpone until May.

Today’s trend, things under control compared to many other world regions, is irrelevant to the picture that could have emerged by two months from now, given how quickly new case incidence can surge anywhere and the prospect that all nations are invited to the Omicron party whether they want to be dragged into it or not.
Bogotá does seem to have a fairly good surveillance site that anyone planning to travel there may want to deep-five into … unfortunately it’s much heavier on cumulative metrics that are relatively useless to visitors than it is on rolling incidence per capita but you can see on one of the graphs the absolute number of new cases by day as well as the option to have table view that shows the exact number for each day from beginning of pandemic to today’s date.

Thank you very much. It's already been down to -20 here in NorthWestern Ontario. I'm meeting an online friend I've been chatting with for over 2 years. I'm brushing up my Spanish. My Colombian friend is learning English. Gracias!

Sudden is perhaps not the best choice of word here. Will keep this relatively concise. Following more than 20 years of internal strife (drug wars, paramilitaries, FARC) that made life in Colombia difficult, a peace agreement was reached (not yet ratified in 2021) that finally brought stability to much of the country. Since that time, tourism has grown significantly year-over-year until the pandemic. For an entire generation of Colombians, seeing foreign tourist is a novelty that they rarely saw during this period. Mass tourism as a business is relatively new, and Colombia sees tourists from all over the world. The NYT named it their top international travel destination in 2018. So this is not "sudden", I apologise, but rather a growing business that is still novel for the locals.

From my Colombian friends, thing are progressing back to a new normal.  You will be expected to wear masks in almost all indoor situations (malls, hotels, government buildings, etc. Bars are restaurants are back to full capacity.  There you will be expected to wear a mask when moving through the room, but can remove it once seated. A curious custom I saw last year was Colombians putting masks back on when the waiter or service person approached the table.
The big megaclubs (Theatron, El Mozo, Ghetto Tank, et al.) are very relaxed with masking and you will see very few masks indoors. Clubs like Gigolo Erotic House, Recreo de Adan, or Perro y Candelaría are also very lax on masking once inside.  Likewise, any outdoor space (cafe, restaurant, bar etc.) will not have a requirement for masking.  Keep in mind that Bogotá is at a very high altitude. The days in January can run into the mid 20's C, but things cool off in the evening. Much like Canada, you will see many outdoor spaces with heaters to keep the punters warm.
You will see big crowds around the city as things have largely returned to a routine. Colombians are fun-loving and very social as a society.. They are fascinated by the sudden global interest in their country, and I believe you will meet many cute locals that will be happy to introduce you to Colombian culture. I would also suggest  you might want to consider other warmer options during your trip, like Cali, Medellin or Cartagena -- there is a big sale on intercity travel right now and I got my flight from Bogota to Medellin for just $20CAD on Avianca.  It's an incredible country and I hope you enjoy an amazing birthday trip.
