  1. That was the first time I experienced this. I didn't know it was thing! I originally booked with Localiza, I searched to see if it was partnered with Avis-it's not. Localiza has my card on file. I wasn't sure if Avis did or not, I searched the website as throughly as I thought I could. I was curious to know if anyone else had run into this before and was it something to be overly concerned about or just some deep web ops business practice. In the end, a peace of mind was worth more than digging more so I canceled Avis and hope that was all that is needed
  2. LOL sounds like a case of a bad batch of Ryze shrooms...I was only wondering has anyone ever had the experience of getting signed up for a service unknowingly. I decided to cancel Avis since I have had only positive experiences with Localiza; the reviews for Avis, in Salvador, were not favorable for the company. I'll go with the slightly more expensive Loc. option
  3. Hello folks, I'll be in Salvador in less than 2 weeks. I've been there several times and always rented a car using Localiza. No difference this time except I got an email a few weeks ago from Avis about my rental (?). I know I did not make a reservation with Avis because Localiza has always been great for me and the Avis reservation had the generic 12PM pick up and drop off times. Has anyone experience this before? It's as if Avis spied on me and made a reservation based on the one I made with Localiza. I've confirmed with Avis that it is a true res. and I think I'm going to keep it since it's at least 500 brl cheaper than Localiza. What do you guys think?
  4. Thanks, I've realized that while walking back to my airbnb. Practically NOTHING was open...lot more was going on/open in Salvador last year on NYE than here in SP.
  5. Has anyone experienced Lagao on New Year's Eve? I'm not a big fireworks/celebration person and am thinking about going to Lagoa, my first time. I've been to SP several times but never got the nerve to go to Lagao and I'm flying out tomorrow.
  6. Well, unfortunately I didn't make it. I drove by it (I rented a car for this trip) a couple of times but parking wasn't available until the last time I drove by it. I was enjoying driving through the city. A super sweet guy I met a few days prior on skokka hit me up to see if I would like to spend time with him again. I couldn't pass this baby up. I'll check out Lagoa went I get to Sao Paulo tomorrow. I think my airbnb is in the same area. I plan on making Salvador a regular destination so I may make it to Clube11 someday.
  7. Thank you, I haven't gone there yet. I'm going to take a trip there today. I was wondering why it's not coming up on google searches at all, though. I put in Clube11 or Clube11 salvador, etc, and there are no results anymore. But I'll take a quick visit today to see what's going on. Thanks again for your reply.
  8. Its instagram page posted an event a day ago. However, when I search the sauna on google it doesn't come up at all-in results nor map location. Has it been renamed?
  9. I stayed in an airbnb in the colonial zone, a very well taken care of older single family home, 2 beds and 2 baths. No security. Street level 1 floor house, i parked my car out front never had any issues with anything.
  10. Hey this is my first post on here and I'm going to Salvador and Rio in June. I'm curious about your experience with Airbnb and bringing home a guest and would like to know if you have had any problems with that with the reception desk, doorman etc
