No. I wasn't tbh. Not at all. Just interested in the country and its culture. Only posted on this forum as `i was surprised not to find and 'info' on Ghana. Plus, a couple of travellers I met in the hostel in Accra told me Togo, Benin, Liberia and Sierra Leone must be awesome in terms of meeting local men as well. Maybe another future post? X

No. Eventually I didn't.

I just returned from a week in Ghana. It was fabulous. My first time in West-Africa, I visited Accra, Cape Coast and Elmina. Accra is a lively and busy city full of markets. The action at night seems to take place in Oxford Street in Osu, one of the well-known neighbourhoods. Great cocktails are to be found in Republic Bar (and many others). Local DJ's sweep up te crowd. There is lots of prostitution, so take care when drunk. It is very easy to meet the locals in the bars and you will find no effort / issue doing what you like. Although men look handsome, I wasn't in the mood. In Cape Coast, a five hours drive west from Accra (although less than 150 km), I was greeted by a surprising amount of guys. The rocks behind the famous fort play the role of an exclusive and excluded spot. Men approach you, show their (huge) penises, ask for you number, ... At night, I had dinner in a local restaurant and got hooked up by the waiter. He invited me to stay with him, what I refused. Bare in mind that an average European earns 40 times more than his Ghanaian counterpart. After dinner, I went for a walk in the old town (small) and a guy approached me for sex. I was shocked by the bluntness: 'I really want to fuck you very hard now.' Again, I politely refused. All men who approached me seemed good-looking (beautiful teeth for instance), fit (fitness culture), well-spoken (English mother tongue) and friendly. I stayed at a cool resort at the coast near Elmina. The staff seems very attentive. Many of the guests seemed to have hooked up with members of staff.

Potentially, I read your review on this website. We deliberately stayed in the rooms attached to the hammam to visit it (almost last customers). It was clear that no-one was willing to engage in anything but a professional massage.

I was in Tunisia last April. The main purpose of the trip was sightseeing. Tunis We stayed in Hotel Le National, which was affordable and felt like the real Tunis experience The main street of the city seems Avenida Habib Bourgiba. I found it very cruisy in the afternoon, evening and night. There was a bar called 'Café Le Paris' which served beer on the terrace and inside. We have been a couple of times and it seemed a place to chill for an hour, make eye contact and leave somewhere else. I tried the hamman everyone talks about, close to the gate to the medina. I found the place dirty and full of too old men. Years ago, when visiting the medina, it was the typical enter-a-shop and meet whoever you wanted spot. That didn't happen for some reason in April Sousse Very lively seaside boulevard where lots of men seem to be wandering around looking for you. we stayed at Anti-stress Hammam (both hotel and hammam). Nothing happened in the hammam. They made it utterly clear that underwear was to be worn at all times, hence a different post on this blog somewhere. Definitely visit Café Le Sirène. Douz We stayed in a hotel called Sahara Douz My partner got approached during the massage in the hotel. I went out in the village on my own at night and got approached by multiple men asking me to go for a ride in their car in the desert. I refused. One afternoon, I went for a coffee next door. Three men at a table next to me asked me if I was married. I said yes and their answer was that I needed to be careful as feminine looking guys were easily approached as targets due to the sexual frustration they experience. No clue to what extent this review is any useful. Anyhow, I love the country. The men in my opinion are far from attractive. Nothing like Egypt. But very easy to find sex in case wanted / needed. Enjoy!

I am planning a trip to Karachi in a few weeks. There are super cheap Pegasus flights. Any hotel recommendations? Would you include a Lahore / Islamabad visit or just stay one week in Karachi? is it easy to meet Pakistani men? Any street cruising info? Cheers Bruno

Can I ask you for a hotel / resort recommendation in Hurghada?

You are right about finding the right men. It's a matter of preference, realism and (cultural) expectations. All the men in Egypt I have met and slept with were friendly, curious, warm-hearted, confused, and wishing to share a part of their culture with me. That most often turned me on in combination with the chaos, heat and chilled vibe the county and its men definitely have. One more thing I would like to add: I am aware of the fact that I am not the most attractive guy in terms of beauty standards. Therefore, in the West, like many of may friends I share this topic with, I am not seen. I hardly exist. The sole human right of existence - utterly present in beautiful Egypt - makes me alive. Good luck!

I have lived in Egypt for three years. Am I overreacting when I claim that I easily met willing men every single day of my life there? They are everywhere. These encounters just happen. In case you really want to 'hunt for men', consider using applications, look people straight into the eyes constantly, go for massages (Sultan Hammam on two locations - Mirage Mall and Maadi), order food and tip the delivery guys at your door, take taxis (InDrive has pictures) and ask about the drivers' marriages, go to the touristy places, ... It honestly seems impossible not to meet any. Men are up for fun. When back some weeks ago for only a week, the taxi driver from the airport to Maadi (where I was staying) starting touching his hard penis so impulsively when chatting with me. I didn't have the energy after a long fight (with lay over) to invite him straight away into my AirBnB, but it would have been the first encounter of many. Enjoy!
