Last post here is from Feb 20, the exact day Ramadan started this year, so any advise is a bit late today. Spent both 2024 and 2025 Ramadan months in Marrakesh and Essaouira, like everyone says, daytime is boring, streets are quiet, coffee shops closed. In Marrakesh main square coffee shops, eating places are open for tourists, Medina food stalls mainly open because of tourists. Still, managed to blow this one local guy, thick like a coke can, in the middle of the day, just off the street, abandoned lot, behind a wall. He tried to raise a protest regarding the amount of the usual tip, this being Ramadan and all lol. At night, after around 7 PM everything is back to normal. March 2025 was much, much quieter in Marrakesh compared to January 2026, never seen so many tourists as in this past January. Especially considering this January was unusually cold in Marrakesh.

Loving your experiences in Egypt! May I ask, how easy is it to rent a short term apartment in Hurghada? I have been to resorts only there, in Sharm as well, resorts are useless and deadly boring, even room cleaning staff are afraid, they know hotels have cameras everywhere and all corridors are being monitored, they are afraid to stay in a room more than 5 minutes. Are the rentals simple walk ins in the city or did you book online? I'm starting to think Morocco, despite all the good things such as coffee shop culture, is useless as far as hookups. Hurghada seems much nicer. Side note, I've pulled many, many drivers in Tunis and Marrakesh, but almost never to a private apartments. Taxi drivers in Morocco and Tunisia almost always accept a bj, and they know where is a good spot for a short break, even in the middle of the day.

You can not take a local to your riad (a house) in Morocco, possible exception if you are renting the whole house. But even if you rent a house, there are always older locals watching, and local guys who you are planning to hook up, they refuse to visit because they know someone is always watching. Goes without saying, hotels are also hopeless, past few years I've been to Marrakesh 7 times, several weeks each time, last visit in January. In January I stayed in cheap hotels just off el-Fnaa, several of them, each time me being the only foreigner, also no way to host. These hotels are super cheap and foreigners just don't end up in these hotels. The only way to meet a local guy would be if he happens to stay in the same hotel, these hotels always have many males staying. But even then locals are visibly paranoid. Airbnb, not much better, but every apartment is different, most Airbnb in Marrakesh have a local staffer hanging around by the entrance, they seem to be neighbors, always older men, sitting outside, watching like hawks. Now, we may not care who sees what, but local guys who you try to invite in, they are afraid. This is such needless headache everywhere in Morocco, local guys making eye contact all the time, they know why a single white guy is walking around Marrakesh, but there's nowhere to go. The only scores I've managed have mostly been outdoors, abandoned buildings, empty lots, there are many especially outskirts of Medina. They all expect a small tip, they are all tops, it is a bj and it's over within a minute lol. Still, I'm heading back to Marrakesh this Tuesday. Anyone up for mint tea, just for a chat, lets meet in coffee shop, the on on square are open daytime as well even during Ramadan. Ramada is over on March 20th.

Hi everybody! Does Berlin have any hustler bars still in business? I was in Berlin for a week in June 2023 and I didn't see any Eastern Europeans nor North African guys offering trade. Does anyone have recent experience with hustlers cruising in Berlin, maybe streets or parks?
