Not discrediting you, but you are not comparing correctly. First post it shows prices after taxes and fees. Second screenshot shows price before taxes and fees. You just need to compare the same.

I am going, I’m just trying to decide on the best hotel to stay at value, space, location. For pattaya I’m excited to go just not sure of the area. My first visit last year I spent a few months on here researching before I finally booked. The biggest help for me was the shamelessmack blog, the area maps really helped. This year in bangkok I definitely am going to try some of the saunas that I did not try last year. I am here for tourist activities too, last year I hired a guided from siamroads, Mac, I found him very informative and he taught me how to use transit, showed me boat taxis, temples, and some of the more local areas of Thailand. I will likely being hiring a guide again.

Hello everyone, im planning my second trip to Thailand, reading the forum last year I got some great advice that helped me a lot. This year I wanted to spend some extra time in Thailand so I’m likely going to go for 22-23 days. I want to spend a week at the beginning of my trip in pattaya and the rest in bangkok. onto my questions, for pattaya reading the forum it seems like the best area to stay is Jomtien. I want to of course hang out at the beach, do some shopping, eat some more amazing food and of course visit the bars, I have been reading trying to determine which hotel to stay at. The forum seems pretty decided that Agate is the best value and from my pricing search it seems so, I’m just confirming it seems like there is no issues bringing guests back and it is right in the heart of the action. Besides Jomtien, should I also be visiting boyztown? If you decide to bring boy back is this too far from my hotel in Jomtien? I will likely book a car from BKK to take me directly to the hotel as I prefer the certainty for a new destination. In bangkok, last year I stayed at Furama silom. I stayed in an executive suite and really liked it. I was going to book again this year however prices are nearly double what I paid last year. So for this year I’m leaning towards the quarter saladaeng, I’ve searched this on the forum however there is only two pages of results, I have read them all even how minor a mention. It seems like guests are not an issue correct? I’m feeling very confident in this selection based on the limited reviews on this forum and the YouTube reviews I have looked over. I will likely be visiting in October similar to last year, and will gladly post trip reports like I did. thanks for any advice you can give!

When I visited bangkok for the first time, I tried the bars. I found if I asked the mamasan at any club I went to for someone that has decent English I wasn’t disappointed. I offed most from freshboys and had no issues. I liked the fresh boys show the best however all the shows are repetitive so I enjoyed visiting the different bars to see the different shows, banana room has a lot of drag performers, it’s not something I hate, while a couple times they lip synced to English songs they didn’t know. When they lip synced to Thai songs they really shined. a lot here saying the mamasan at fresh boys can be pushy. I didn’t have a problem with her really, I just stated. I’m looking for now I will let you know when someone interests me, and she left me alone for the most part. I think just don’t be afraid to be assertive. If you are indecisive they may be more inclined to keep checking in and try to get you to buy a boy a drink or off a boy.

I think I saw the sauna by Furama silom when I was there. I was thinking of going. It’s in the mall with the broken escalators correct? How was it? I’m planning to return to Thailand for my second time for 3 weeks this time likely spend first week in pattaya and rest in bangkok but would love to visit sauna this time

I’m not big into the club scene, I did find a few non MBs on Grindr and had some hookups I didn’t mention here, even a fun time in the sauna here in furama.

Hiring Mac at the beginning of the trip was great as he showed me how transit works, showed me the area around my hotel to eat, get laundry done, and explained things to look out for. I would definitely recommend hiring guide for first timers to learn the ins and outs, if not atleast learn how to use transit. Bangkok traffic is no joke, 3km turns into an hour long trek and the skytrain can save you so much time. my hotel furama was great. I stayed in an executive suite so I cannot speak to the other floors. I only ate breakfast once but it had everything you can expect from a western breakfast plus other cultures as well. The executive club is nice to unwind and have a drink. They provide snacks all day and some lights meals in the evening, the pool area has fake grass around the area now, pool water appeared to be tested everyday and was comfortable temperature, the city looks great at night from the rooftop pool area. maid service was amazing. She did not speak English but she didn’t get bothered when I fumbled a bit with google translate to request extra towels. She always ensured I had plenty of bottled water (sometimes I had 4 in the fridge and 6 on the counter) even when I got up late or left and came back she still did the room as late as 5 pm! Amazing service, I’m sure it helped I tipped everyday but it’s not much by western standards and the service she provided made my experience a lot more comfortable, the front desk staff and door men were friendly, never judging when bringing people back, even when I brought two. the only downside is the keys, they reuse hotel key cards so over time they wear out, so simply placing them in contact with your cellphone can erase the data causing the key not to work in the door, they did give me three keys, one for the electricity. And two for me. So I kept extra key in my wallet just in case. tomorrow I leave in the afternoon, it was suggested I simply use grab. So hopefully they won’t be mad that I have 1 large suitcase 1 carryon and my backpack. special thanks to everyone on this forum who posted. I will add, each day I’ve been leaving tip for the maid. As I engage the clean room sign every day. I am staying in an executive suite as it was cheaper than booking a deluxe room on agoda. The room is very clean. Wifi is strong. There is an access point directly on the ceiling in the room. Speed test shows 250mbps down and 200mbps up. Very fast. Internet did feel a bit slower when I was at the pool so I switched to using 5g. breakfast was fine, I was only up once to experience it. Has everything you would assume and omelette station, executive lounge provides free drinks/snacks throughout the day and light dinner options in the evening. Pizza, pasta, fried foods. I cannot speak to the other rooms, when I read reviews online I was worried as well but most seem to be for the basic rooms. balconies are locked for “safety reasons” I asked they said someone had went over one. water pressure in shower is good. Drain can be a little slower when using rainfall shower but I have no issues.
