  1. Ohm-kung reviewed him too on Line and X, but you would never know that through google 😂 Looking forward to your review.
  2. Big?
  3. This is a comment to Macaroni’s blogpost on google reviews here: I have also noticed this practice at Ssense and it goes deep. The masseurs that you find in the Line lineup of Ssense that you use if you make a reservation is ranked according to the number of reviews they got. A prize is handled out every month to the top 3. So you see now that Knott got first place in August, that is he was mentioned most the number of times in google reviews, whereas TongTong came in second place the number of times he was mentioned in google reviews in August and he is listed just after Knott in Line. Presumably the rankings will change in October to reflect the number of mentions in September. A masseur like Chok who has been with the parlour for a long time and has presumably amassed some experience comes towards the end of listings. The ranking is not based on masseur skill. These google reviews do influence the choice of masseur of at least one poster on this forum who explicitly changed his booking from Chok as he simply wasn’t mentioned too often in google reviews. I also see that repeat customers are simply updating their old reviews with new dates if they have been treated by another masseur or the same masseur on multiple occasions. They simply add dates to the text. I can’t say I like this management practice. However I generally don’t rely on google reviews as they wouldn’t mention the aspects that I’m interested in. There are special massage reviewers who publish in closed Line chat groups which provides you with a review of the “extras” as well as the type of shop it is.
  4. X accounts: @Auroramassage89 @glamspabkk @wabisabi_MS @ganymedespa @manboy2024 (phetboyspa) take note that there is a difference between those massage places that cater to a mostly local clientele and those that keep up an air of respectability. The line account and X account of Phetboy leave very little guesswork. You would do well to install Line and use it for bookings and to see the boy lineup of the day for the various shops that prefers prebooking through Line instead of walk-ins.
  5. You can visit Wat Ratchabophit, and adjacent royal cemetery. Unlike some of the other famous temples, you avoid the crowd of tourists here and can explore in peace. Back streets of Chinatown are fun too.
  6. I will be in Bangkok on November 16-17
  7. Mac did lose his phone very recently, try to reach out by e-mail to him directly.
  8. The Siam will assign you a “butler” that you can connect with via WhatsApp and will help you during your stay.
  9. Here is the area outside the four seasons
  10. Both the Siam and the four seasons are fantastic hotels, but very expensive. The Siam has a very eclectic and unique interior of highly curated antiques, that might not be to everyone’s taste.
  11. If Glam’s is catering to the tourist market of strong Chinese buyers and Phetboy has a local market then differences in price are understandable. See attachments.
  12. This is why so few countries have supported a call to actually designate the Rohingya issue as a genocide in the legal sense.
  13. You don’t solve a problem with rats by burning the entire house…
  14. I have noticed that several of the boys at Glam are also available at phetboy spa, in their ads there you can see them shirtless, know whether they are T or T&B, and condom size.
  15. This is what makes the Myanmar conflict so difficult to comprehend for outsiders. The multitude of local armies with differing interests and ideologies makes it difficult to make a simple elevator pitch explaining it all. It is not simply a democratic struggle. This is what many western observers simplify the conflict to be, and while certainly a few armies fight for this, the majority of the conflict is about resources and race. We have reports about the majority Bamar people who comprise 70% of the population, being refused entry to some ethnic controlled areas in the north. The junta is trying to balance out the influence of China, and it did that by relying on the West. Now that option is not on the table so they must rely on Russia, but Russia has not got strong interests in the area and is engaged elsewhere. The support is not substantial.
  16. The junta is desperate for foreign currency and this is one way of collecting it.
  17. Thanks to your recommendation I recently tried out the body scrub at Ssense with Tong and I was very satisfied. Great report!
  18. A week is absolutely fine.
  19. It might be posturing, it can also be a genuine wish to restore credibility to nuad Thai, different ministers have different interests. The tourism minister would not be happy about a too efficient crackdown and would likely oppose any measures. Local police are not too interested either as it makes them a lot of money. All in all too many people make too much money on illicit workers in this and other industries for an MOH to really be able to push this.
  20. Hello everyone, I am new to these forums and I would be happy to get to know y'all a bit better. I am happy to share some first hand knowledge of the situation in Myanmar. Now as to the security situation in Myanmar (Burma) it is relatively stable in Yangon and Mandalay, stories of violence and beheadings are not happening here, and won't happen in the foreseeable future, but the situation in the rest of the country has deteriorated since November 2023 to the point where it is really not advisable to travel to other regions. The hotels in Ngapali beach are closed due to the intense fighting in Rakhine state and the land borders are also being fought over with ethnic armed groups who holds sway over the borderlands. The junta is not in a good spot and has responded by introducing a military conscription law that has seen thousands of young men fleeing the country or taking up studies. There has also been a crackdown on the use of VPNs very recently. In practice the major VPNs (like ExpressVPN) are difficult to use and you have to juggle between several servers to find one that works. As a result Facebook, IG, Whatsapp and also to a certain extent X are not being used as widely anymore. People are increasingly using Telegram and Viber for communications, but the junta can crack down on those too. This means that being in Myanmar is highly context dependent. You can't rely on X, FB and the usual sources for info as they may be outdated or non-functional. Levels of English can vary widely. Schooling was never good in Myanmar and English instruction was patchy, unless pupils received instruction in an illicit missionary school. The ones that are really good in English are working abroad anyway now. The departure of western businesses and organizations also means that there are less services that caters to and accessible to non-locals. Also note that the economy is turning completely cash based, few foreign credit cards work here. Grindr works and you can use it. But note that homosexual acts are illegal in Myanmar, and you should be cautious in using the apps so you don't end up being extorted by locals that are increasingly desperate. If you want to sample Myanmar boys, you can find a lot of them in Bangkok. "Golf" that is seen on a few of the higher end massage places in Bangkok, like GooGuy or Aurora is from Myanmar (see attached pic).
