If anyone has some good contacts like this but in Phnom Penh, please send me a DM.

I went to Jupiter last week together with a regular from another place. We both enjoyed the show. I identified at least two boys from Jey Spa among the line-up.

In Bangkok, Myanmar guys speak good enough English. Laotian is closely related to Thai so people from Laos often understand Thai quite well after staying in Thailand for a short while. Incidentally some Myanmar guys are from the Shan states and their language is closely related to Thai as well. It is often referred to as Tai-Yai in Thailand. I will let others speak about their experiences with Cambodian guys.

Especially in the weaker economies of SE Asia, gold is highly valued as the middle classes there don’t really have access to other financial instruments to invest in. In Myanmar and Cambodia, people invest in gold and dollars to safeguard their assets.

Lots of gays in town due to the white party at the same time so no wonder there are many customers for bars.

For other readers I think it is worth emphasising that this is Thailand and not Japan. In Japan you get a detailed menu of choices with appropriate costs. In Thailand things are done differently and some tact and discretion goes a long way.

Verchiele’s Ultimate Bangkok Massage Experience / Review (December 2024)
Raposa replied to Verchiele's topic in Gay Thailand
“Outside only” is a direct translation from Thai. It refers to all activities except penetration. Thais will understand this well, other ethnicities less so. -
A veneer of respectability indeed. Thanks for the report gottago.

Many outlets present a veneer of respectability and would not answer directly on such questions. Some cultural knowledge is essential. Looking at their menu, there are a lot of options for different types of oil massages. It gives an inkling of what can go on there.

These are minimum tip rates so a bit extra for good service should be added.
-
Take this as a rough guide: 600 for a HJ 1000 for a HJ where the masseur is naked 1000-1500 body to body 1500-2000 outside only, Body to body B2B, kissing, HJ ++ but not penetration 1500-3000 Penetration Outside of city centre, prices will be lower. Certain shops cater to a wealthy clientele, whether local or foreign, and you have to expect higher minimum tips in those places.

Please note that boys who are available at both Glam’s and Jey will prefer you book them through Jey…
-
If you would like to go outside Silom, but not to SK, then Jey Spa in Sukhumvit is definitely an H place. Zoo wellness spa in that area is probably that too, but please note that those are two upscale establishments so minimum tip is around 3000 bath. Boys are model quality and service is consistent. If you want to stick to Silom for full service, then Senso men’s club is your go to place as Ichigo mentioned.

Taiwan/The One was open when I walked past a few days ago, seemed very quiet. I didn’t bother to take a look inside.

Yes, I’m in Bangkok now.

How have you calculated that? Asking for a friend.

Verchiele’s Ultimate Bangkok Massage Experience / Review (December 2024)

A highly relevant question to ask, but you don’t go to Jey, Senso or Prince for the massages. Those upscale places have to go. Last time I went to Senso I asked papasan whether any of the boys were good at massage, and he replied that most of them were average. Instead the super soft shops like Kino-saki spa or Ssense are the places for good massage and some afters if you want. 2 hour massages will cost you 1400 (excluding tips) in those places, but massage quality is high. -

At Senso you can ask the papasan which one is big and he will recommend one for you with his laser pen. -

I agree these are solid picks. My favourite among them is Jey Spa, where you can pre-book your masseur. At Prince and Senso you choose from a lineup in the shop itself. -

You write well and very nuanced. Always subtle in your argument and delicate in your perceptions. However, I think for first timers the most useful advice is to stick to the central shops and not to bother about going further afield for the cheaper shops on your first visit, unless you got a lot of time on your hands and feeling a bit adventurous. The higher end shops close to city centre do give more consistent service with less risk if you don’t have a lot of time. For those in their twenties and early thirties… Don’t bother about the shops and bars, but explore the clubs and the onsens instead, especially those onsens outside city centre like Zen or Machiya. -

Try Papago. Text, voice and images can be translated. -
@AndyUK How did you book with Hatha Khmer, or is it a walk-in place?

Zoo Wellness Spa have a few former models from Aurora and they have a branch at Sukhumvit for those that don’t wish to make the trek to Aurora new branch.

Chinatown on Yaowarat road is where you want to be with festivities and dragon dances, it is very lively (and congested) during this time. A big part of CNY is visiting shrines and honouring the ancestors. You will also see a ritual that includes burning fake money for good luck. This can be a very interesting experience but please don’t be a tourist and go in taking selfies and photos of everyone. It is best to visit respectfully and immerse yourself in the experience while leaving your selfie stick at home. A significant part of CNY is spent with family eating together and exchanging red envelopes. This part of the celebration is hidden from tourists unless you are invited in by people you know. On the Chinese mainland people usually travel back to their ancestral villages during this time and all trains and transportation are packed. I myself don’t know of any special events requiring pre-booking, but we might have some CNY experts here who might enlighten us. You will find that the massage shops and bars in Bangkok will update their marketing, incorporating red clothes and CNY symbolism during this time. While some holidays such as golden week can bring in a lot of mainland tourists to Bangkok, the family centered emphasis of CNY ensures that mainland tourists are relatively modest in numbers,. The lunar year we are entering is the year of the wooden snake.🐍
