  1. Both. If it is a new guy for me, I am often not willing to pay for airfare until I know them. If I am close to them, I will hire them for a few hours first. If I have to pay for the airfare, I ask for ID verification and I book the ticket myself. That being said, I don't often hire someone with that I have not seen without a good recommendation from a friend. Often, I'll tell the escort to check with the other client and ask about me. I am sure they tell them they can trust me and that I am very easy as a client. It really all depends on where you meet someone and how you know them. If I just saw someone off an escort site I wanted to hire, I would likely not just fly them to me. I would ask Marc Anthony or someone else to visit with them on their travels and tell me about them. haha But, there have been some cases that I have flown to see the escort. I have often hired through escort services and feel much more comfortable with this with someone I have not met. I have used Campus in NYC and Premiere in Philly and 2 agencies in Chicago that are no longer in existence. I have little problem hiring from a service. For an independent, I really am leery if I don't know them or if a good friend doesn't know them.

  4. LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Same-sex couples who want to exchange vows in front of Cinderella's Castle now have the chance. The Walt Disney Co. had limited its Fairy Tale Wedding program to couples with valid marriage licenses, but it is now making ceremonies at its parks available to gay couples as well. "We believe this change is consistent with Disney's long-standing policy of welcoming every guest in an inclusive environment," Disney Parks and Resorts spokesman Donn Walker said Friday. "We want everyone who comes to celebrate a special occasion at Disney to feel welcome and respected." The company said it made the change after being contacted by a gay couple who wanted to use the wedding service, which offers ceremonies at Disneyland in California, Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disney's cruise ships. The service offers flowers, dining, music and many optional Disney touches, from ceremonies in front of the parks' iconic attractions to having Mickey and Minnie Mouse in formal wear as guests. The packages start at $8,000 and can cost more than $45,000. Groups not affiliated with Disney have held annual "gay days" celebrations at Disney parks for years. Company officials have taken a tolerant attitude to the weekend, allowing party promoters to rent out parks after hours and rebuffing religious groups that condemned Disney. In 2005, Southern Baptists ended an eight-year boycott of the Walt Disney Co. for violating "moral righteousness and traditional family values." http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/04/06/disney.we...s.ap/index.html
  5. Thanks for the input. We would really appreciate any other stories or experiences you have had there and are willing to share with us.
  6. I have to admit, I am often at a loss of words to deal with the Rico report, and all the names that have changed over the years. I never really did understand what was happening and what the feuds were over. I really did not and still do not. I do wish somenone would PM me and tell me the story. I don't need all the details but enough to understand who is who and what is what would be greatly appreciated as I often feel like an idiot when I read about all these people and know nothing about any of it.
  7. I have flown guys in for various trips for a long time. One thing I have done is that I find an airfare for them and tell them to book it. When the get to me, I'll pay them for the the fare when we get to the hotel room. I don't pay for that fare in advance. If it is someone I know and have been with several times, I may pay for the airfare myself and when I do this, I use miles. That way if they cancel, I can call and cancel and get my miles redeposited. When you deal with younger guys 18-25, you really have to be careful. Often it is not out of meanness they don't show, it is lack of organization, motivation or even having a bad hair day. All of those are just part of the experience. I have rarely been jilted with overnights or with weekend guests. It has happened but it is rare. Last year at Carnival, I took a 19 year old muscle boy from Sao Paulo to Rio for Carnival. I have been with him 40 times in Sao Paulo. When he got to Rio he was so excited and happy. At night, he got sad. The next day he was crying. He wanted to go back to Sao Paulo. He was really sorry but said he wanted no money just to go back. I said fine. I gave him his rate for the 2 days and a ticket back to Sao Paulo. He was very homesick. I had book 2 nights at Carnival and one night at Scala Gay with him and another boy. His ticket was used by someone else. But, at a cost of 7500 Real per ticket, it was a shame to spend it on someone other than the one I wanted to spend it with. Shit happens. I have seen him since and we have had a wonderful time. He says he wants to go back to Rio with me but I have yet to let that happen. I will one day but not on such an expensive weekend. I suggest that your experiences are not unique. It happens. You have to just be willing to go with the flow and move on from there. To help with this, come up with a plan of action where you are not out all your money up front for someone coming to you.

  9. Sorry, GB. A blackberry is a little device used as a phone and an office manager. It takes your e-mail from e-mails accounts and pushes it to your phone as soon as they are received. The way a blackberry looks is like a little phone but with a different key for each letter so it is similar to a smalll laptop. It works anywhere in the world. So, I could be sitting on Jomptien beach and as soon as an e-mail comes to my inbox, Blackberry pushes it to my hand held unit. It makes it easy to respond very fast. It is used mostly for business people so they are always reachable via e-mail. check out: http://www.blackberry.com
  10. I have always enjoyed B and N in Bangkok and always found more than a few guys there that are wonderful. I have also enjoyed Hero and Banana.

    Skype

Vonage is the same. You pay a set price for a phone for unlimited calls in USA, Canada and EU. They provide you with a phone modem that is connected to your broadband. You connect a phone to that and you have a USA number. You can add on a fax line, toll free numbers, etc. Calls to overseas is cheap but not as cheap as Skype. You can also add a virtual phone that is only on your computer with another number addition. I have used this for many years and normally am happy with it. It works well as when I travel I hook up a fax machine to my Vonage modem and a phone and I have an office anywhere I travel. Skype seems to be improving each day. They have many add ons that I like. They have added a wifi phone that works like a cell phone with any wifi connection. I have not looked at iconnectthere.com but will take a look. It is pretty amazing what one can do with technology these days. I can't wait to try the new Iphone from Apple.

  16. Do you remember Sebastian from Campus in NYC? He was the sweet looking young lad that spent a semester with me in Thailand last year. He spent many summers and months in Columbia and he loved it. He like the people and the country. He had great things to say about it. However, I am not sure how safe it is. I hope you are careful. I also hope you keep great notes as I have always wanted to go there myself.
  17. I watched the site when it first started. I thought it was very boring. I do wish them luck. I bet we would have a different result if they put that camera on the head of Scott Adler and his roommate. Call it: 2QueersCam and let it be an all you can see they see. I bet the steam room scenes would be hot. When it first came out, I loved DudeDorm and KeyWestGuys. I watched them often and really enjoyed it. I still play on Flirt4Free and have met several hot guys from there. Justin is cute. Cute ain't enough. The show needs some excitement!
  18. I am interested in getting a Blackberry and would use it for business when in Thailand. Doez anyone use the service there? How is it? What is the rate for messages? calls back to USA? Thanks.
  19. Welcome back. I have yet to master the Texas Hold Em game on my computer. I have played about 2,000 times and never won a tournament. I hope your 10 months were enjoyable and fun and you have lots of cash to throw around for a few months.
  20. My therapist costs 240 an hour. But, that comes with a magic pen and prescription pad. The office I took the dog to is a bone treatment center for animals. There were no greyhounds but a lot of dogs loved by their owners. They do about 1,000 of these surgery's each year. The dog could not walk and his knee was out of socket and he was in pain. I had little choice. I had been saving my pennies to return to the LOS. It was pay the price for the surgery or return to Pattaya. And since it appears to be low season and things are slower, I went for the surgery. I am sure Come In bar won't miss my 50 bath water too much this week. I was at the doctors office myself yesterday as I had an infection on my toe. (ingrown toenail the week before) The doctor came into his office on a Sunday with his wife and kids to take a look at me. He took out a scaple and started to work. I saw the blood, told him I was a little light headed and passed out. Luckily his wife is a Registered Nurse and she revived me. I told him I didn't know what happened. He said I would be fine and gave me a prescription for Oxycontin. The dog had major surgery and no pain killers. I fainted and was given a really cool pain killer. I just love American doctors.
  21. Quite funny. Enjoy! http://news.com.com/1200-12_3-6172227.html
  22. It is actually very easy. Find a boy that speaks both English and Thai. Marry him. Keep him by your side and you will learn just by enjoying life. That worked for me. Except I didn't really learn Thai. I did learn some words and how to order food.

  24. I love my dogs I bought at JJ Market in Bangkok. When I saw them, my heart sank as they looked malnourished and not well taken care of. I could not leave them there. I took 3 of them one day and they have been with me since. What I didn't know was that even though they are great dogs they came with many issues. One has an eating disorder and he has been a challenge since day 1. (I overeat and he under-eats.) I just had one of them operated on as he was predisposed to knee problems. The knee surgery was 5k USD. While I do love the dogs and would not change taking them when I did, you really need to be careful when you get a dog anywhere but at a place like JJ, you need to be more cautious and ask more questions. I am sure they are not related to me as the dog with the surgery refuses to take his pain medicine. Me, when I am in pain, I want the max. It is odd that he has his knee operated on the same week as I had my foot operated on due to an injury. We are both limping so it looks like we were made for each other. As the dog with knee surgery is limited to what he can do for the next 6 weeks, he will be sitting on my lap most of the time I read this forum. Welcome Snow to the forum!

    Skype

I have used Vonage for many years and love it. I also use Skype for calls. Both offer great rates and have good features. I find Skype cheaper to call Thailand than I do Vonage. I was at a friends house a month or so back and needed to talk to the BF. My Vonage was down so I used his phone to call there. I also paid the bill when it came. The cost from his phone company was 4.99 a minute. I ended up owing over 170 USD. I was shocked. After that, I have started using Skype more than Vonage and have found I like it very much and the clarity is excellent. They offer a program to call any number in USA or Canada for 29.99 a year. Unlimited access to those numbers and cheap calls overseas make Skype a great choice. Other than Skype or Vonage, anyone have others they use and like?
