The grand opening for HomeWorks was Sept 9th. The store is great. An added bonus is the new Office Depot, my home away from home. It is also a nice store and seems to have all the USA stores have except the computer section. The new shopping area is directly next to the right of Big C on Sumkenvit. Drop by and take a look.

I see the Visa regulations are changing as of Oct 1. I wonder if this will increase the numbers of those who purchase the Thai Elite Card? http://www.thailandelite.com/ Do you think this card will stand the test of time? What I mean by this is that if one purchases it, will the 5 year renewal keep renewing even after the current administration leaves? What do you see for the future of this program?

Thank you Jomptien. I an so glad you see me for the real me. I have never really understood why places in Thailand use tissue and cheap napkins when one eats. That seems to be everywhere. What gives? And, yes Niddy is cute.

Personally, I wish at least a few of the bars in the area would leave the show off and only have the boys on stage. I don't really care for the show and much perfer to see the boys on stage. If I do have to pay 270 for a drink because they have a "sex show" then give me the show. If not, keep the drinks the regular price. I miss the low key X-Treme show as it was only Cabaret and I loved it. However, I know I am in the minority as there are too many that only go to that area to see the show. I saw a much better show last night in Pattaya than I did in Bangkok. The drinks were only 110 bath. And, the farangs in the audience at that show really seemed to be getting jiggy with it.

I agree with you. When I was in the states, I loved a pizza place called PapaJohn's. It has great tasting pizza for me. When I see your name, I am often reminded of that sausage pizza I loved so much. But, I know you are not PapaJohn. You are PapaDavid. In Pattaya, I too like to eat at the place called PapaDavids. Their breakfast is wonderful in the early AM. I am not sure where you get your name from, be it PapaJohn, PapaDavid, or PapaBear (Goldilocks was one of my favorite fairy tales) but, I appreciate you comment to each his own. Just like the 3 bears, some portage is too cold, some too hot and some just right. Tonight, mine was just right. LOL Well, lets just say that I love to accessorize. I did think the burger was a bit too pricy. But, the Thai food was in large proportions. I also understood the price of the cheeseburger as it has lots of meat and fresh toppings and a nice bit of fries. It was not like the old Wendy's commercial, "Wheres the beef?" The beef was there and I was full at the end of the meal. I did not mind the price. I do think that a lot of farangs on a budget would not go for it on a regular basis but not every place is meant for every farang. When I order at Charlee's Pizza in Sunee, the pizza is 220 bath. That was more than Niddy's burger. I don't mind that price either as I enjoy the food. And, all in all, that is less than the price you pay for a drink at most gogo bars in Bangkok.

Actually yes. I told her in the beginning I did not need her help. When she asked for a drink I said, "Are you fucking kidding me? Leave me alone." She moved on. I got a boy over and had a drink with him. I offed him. Again, she asked for a tip. I said again, "Are you fucking kidding me?" I would not have been so rude years ago but after living here for a long time, I know. I did not get rude until the 3 time she asked for a drink. But, that did not spoil my experience there. Funny story. I ran into a boy from Pattaya there with a Farang. He was sitting and smiled to say hi to me when he saw me. The Farang chasticed him. The boy my friend had with him was also from Pattaya and was with the Farang 2 days before on a trip. LOL. I guess it is a small world.

Brazil is dangerous all over. When I went looking for the street trade down there, I had a very knowledable gay boy with me the entire time. He kept me safe. I also had a boyfriend in Sao Paulo who is about 6'5" and bad to the core. He keeps me very safe. However, the area is dangerous and it is not wise to travel anywhere in Brazil at night alone. Thaialnd is MUCH safer and I feel ok walking the streets at night. Last night, the places I went, I would not have gone to some without a guide. The Park we spoke of is OK. However, I did not post everywhere I went as some were not safe and I would not want others to venture there.

Pete, I totally agree. An unchartered territory IMO, The boys were sexy and I had a very savvy driver and he said the ones I spoke to were safe to take away from the area. He also mentioned a short time hotel close by. I was really amazed at the sexy boys. There were none finner in all the gogo bars I have been in (and I have been to a few of them).

Kind of like running a restaurant. Some days the burgers are served fast and sometimes very slow. Sometimes very tasty and sometimes they are just mediocre. Sometimes the waiters are friendly and sometimes they are not. Getting the act together takes time. As you know. But, we are trying.

Drama. Drama. Drama. Everyone seems to love one. I much prefer a good comedy. The only thread I see locked is the one that went on forever, with at least on person creating 3 handles to talk to themselves. I for one, have no intention to unlock it. My favorite bar in Bankok use to be X Treme Bar. I like it because of the cabaret show. When they closed shop, I was very disappointed, as the fuck shows don't really do much for me. I went to the X bar now there. It has been redecorated and has a show. Many of the dancers were there but the show was mixed with the sex show. I enjoyed it a great deal. The only distracting thing was a group of about 20 ladies that giggled and laughed and got drunk. I do understand as they were paying 200 bath a drink, but jeeze quite down ladies.

LOL. I went to Siam the day it opened and had a good time. However, I was busy buying computers and not looking for boys. Hotels? Are you kidding? Remember the Welcome Plaza? NEVER again!

Wow. What a night. What a side of Bangkok I have not seen before. I am not really sure where to start so here goes. I met a taxi driver who was wonderful and offered for me many suggestions for cruising., He agreed to meet me at 7PM to start the tour., He did not show but kept calling and saying he would be there in 10 min. I hate when someone is late and I hired a car from my hotel as I had the itch to see the street scene. We started out by the park close to the Royal Palace. There are a great number of boys there at night and working. They are easy to spot. Slow your car down and they will yell out 500 bath. The area is Saran Ramn Park. There is a canal along the street of Khu Myang Doem. You can go up and down that area and find many boys. When I say boys, I do mean 18 and up as almost 98 percent of what we saw were twenties. The rate for this are is 500 bath. I spoke to over 10 boys and they all said the same thing., They were gay. They did everything. The rate was 500 for short time. At 8pm. I met a nice 20 year old student that I liked. He had a very preppie look and I invited him into the car. He did a bit of oral in the car and we let him out in less than 20 min. Not a bad way to start the night but I was not interested in finishing so early. At 8PM there were about 30 or so guys waiting for customers. At 11, there were about 60 or so. At 1:00, there were even more but the rain kept out the numbers I had been told to expect. The night was amazing and the guys were all sexy. Many of the faces I saw were amazing and they all looked more like college boys than street boys. We then headed for Pradipat 20. This area is mostly Karaoke bars with one gogo bar. The Karaoke bars all have off able boys. They are: Oasis Adam Waterloo Stax K-2 Street The gogo bar was Be High. Not more than 20 boys but there were about 4 that were superstars! In these bars, the drinks were normally 120 bath. The off fee was 300. The atmosphere was very relaxing and low pressure. I really enjoyed my talks with the mamasan of Oasis and K-2. Oasis had about 7 boys and 4 sitting separately were already offed for the night. The music was nice and the bar was fun, K-2 was a lot of fun. I had drinks with 3 boys and enjoyed my time so much with one that I took him as my companion for the night. He is 20 years old, a student at a local university, the son of a policeman and a masculine gay boy. He had never been to Soi Twilight so I took him to 5 bars over there to see what the place was like. He loved it. He was a bit shy but he had a smile the whole time. There are boys working near the Peninsula and the McDonalds close to Suriwong. There are also several boys still working outside the family mart and bank near Soi Twilight. The numbers were very low compared to the park. I did not have time to get to other areas but I will try on the next trip. I highly recommend K-2 as a nice place to visit along with all the other bars on that street. If you have done the gay bars off of Suriwong, you need to break up your time and try something different. The driver I had said the boys at the park were very safe and even recommended a few to me. He knew my type and all the boys there are very approachable. All in all, we have a great night. I enjoyed my boy from the park. I am currently enjoying my boy from K-2. He is still with me and we are going to have some fun.

I met a taxi driver today whose boss owns a gay bar for Thais. He is going to take me on a tour of the gay street scene in Bangkok. Don't worry, I plan on picking up no one. But, I am very interested to see what is out there. Any specific locations anyone can suggest? Thanks.

I spent a great deal of time on the net. When I do get bored of surfing, I play Poker Academy Pro 2. I have decided to give the next World Series of Poker a try. That should keep me busy for a while. If I have to get away from my computer completely, I love to take a boat ride out on the ocean and go fishing. I love deep sea fishing as well as fishing for catfish and bass.
