On the same topic, there is a great article in the New York Times today about the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/20/science/...=rssnyt&emc=rss The new round of grants are 250 million dollars. With their previous donations that makes the foundations grants over 500 million dollars. Considering the US government put up only 6 times this number, it isn't strange to me that no vaccine has been found.

Hello all. Stef worked very hard to get the ban lifted inside Thailand. We are not going to let all his hard work go to waste. We will be more careful in what photos are posted on the site and delete any questionable images. One of the first posts today was a post which contained a link to a porn site. This is not the type of site material we want. We have said all along that we want the site to be an informational guide. Inappropriate posts will be deleted and the poster will be banned. Sorry guys, but that is the way it will be. Bitch, moan, and complain all you want. We will not let a few guys who have an agenda to cause problems for the rest. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. The GayThailand.com Team

As of today, the site now has 800 escort profiles and over 4600 members. Thanks to all who are working to make the site a success from the message board posters, to the reviewers to the escorts who found the site to TY who keeps things running smoothly. I think a great future is in store for the site.

I had the pleasure of seeing this movie today. I wasn't sure what to expect when I first heard about it but I had wanted to see it. I was very impressed with the way it was made and the great job the directors put things together. If you have not heard of the movie, it is Al Gore's easy to explain Global Warming movie. I was taken into the story from the firstt momen and it kept my attention to the end. I was suprised as I saw the movie with a lot of people who do not speak English as their first language and they were all captivated by it as well. If you get a chance, see this one!

I am planning a trip to Mexico. This will be my first trip there in many years. I plan on spending about 4 weeks. What are the cities you recommend? Any nice gay areas? Any places I should avoid? Thanks. Oz

I think it most depends on the kind of event that you are talking about. What is the event for? Are there others there with you? I have never met him or the guys with Cobra. I know his DVD's sold like hotcakes and once the issues occurred all porn guys immediately took them from the shelves and it was a major hassle for all concerned. I don't think people hate him anymore than the guys at Cobra.

Sure. The best is www.ounique.com They provide the legal documentation you need with the sets. The new ones are around 40 each. Some other places are: http://www.adultlegal.com http://www.nevest.net http://www.gayanimecontent.com http://www.exclusivecontent.com/ http://ounique.com/ Also look at the webmasters area on www.menonthenet.com Good luck! HaHa That about sums up my view as well. Growing up in the Bible belt, I was more than a bit religious when I was younger. What I have seen is that the Thai's I have met are often more spiritual than religious. The difference between kindness and love and gentleness are abundant in most Thai's I know. I have a great admiration for their religion. However, when I get on an airplane, I still say a short prayer from my childhood.

I have brought several American boys over to Thailand in the last year. All of them said before they came that they were not into Asian boys and would be looking for other farangs. However, within a day or two, all that changed. Most of them fell in love with the guys there and had a great time. They did not spend time looking for other farang guys as they learned more and were able to experience the culture more with the Thais. All are now back in the USA and all write to me every week wanting to come back to Thailand. Each had a great time and said that it was one of the most special places on earth. One guy did take a 6 week backpacking trip through Laso, Cambodia and Vietnam. He took a bus from Bangkok and during the trip met up with several other backpackers. He saw all the major sites of all 3 countries and for the entire 6 week journey spent only 300 US for All expenses. He was not looking for dates on the trip but he made great friends with many guys and girls from Australia and USA and France amoung other places. There are many other farangs out there. You will find them if you look in the right places. They are not in the gogo bars. Look in the hostels. Look in the dance clubs in Bangkok. But, most of all, just have a great time.

Yes and no. They were much easier to deal with on an emotional level. They were much more needy on a time level. It is not easy to find good hotels that accept pets. Actually, it is a pain in ass. I am in Canada at the end of the month and have found that The W hotels have wonderful services for pets and even provide pet walking, pet sitting and treats for the animals. http://www.starwoodhotels.com/promotions/p...?category=WPETS I never thought a hotel would offer a dog bed in the room, but I guess the world has changed a lot over time.

Thanks so much for the great posts. I really enjoyed reading your adventures. Thailand is magical and wonderful. I have enjoyed so many trips over there in the past few years. I just hope that others read your story and decide to take a chance on a trip. The place is magical and wonderful. Thank you for such great reads!

I think I have read writing like this before. Were your ashes just shot out of a cannon? JK Thanks for the advice. Well worded and heeded. When I had a 5 year lover that I broke up with in NYC, I took a trip. I told my mother that I felt like I was running away from my problems. She said, "perhaps you are not running away as much as you are running toward something new." That stuck with me. That is what I did., OK. Plus, I love the Spanish guys and I love Barcelona in the summer and have spent a lot of time there and the trip was desired.

Traveling with Pets is a ROYAL pain in the ass. I have 3 dogs that are puppies. They are adorable and the sweetest things on earth. I didn't realize how difficult they were going to be to travel with. First, there is an air cargo embargo July 1, through Sept 15 that prohibits all animals from being below in cargo on NWA/KLM flights. The only option is to have them in the cabin with you. As my dogs are small enough, they were able to ride with me. However, as I had 3 of them, you are only allowed to take 2 with you. There is usually a but. But, you can take 3 if you buy an extra seat for the other one. That is what I did. I arranged everything with NWA and had all my documents in hand. I arrived at the airport on time and was told that I did not have an export license. I needed one to take the dogs out of the county. As I was at the airport, I wanted to board and tried everything possible. I called the Platinum Elite Line who had a record of our conversation that I had all documents required. They were the ones that told me what to get from the Vet and I had overlying in a binder ready to board. The NWA agent at Bangkok could not let them through customs. Therefore, I was denied entry to the plane. I had to wait 2 days until the Animal Quarantine Station opened. It is at Customs Terminal 2 at Bangkok Airport, Floor 3, and room 308. You must take with you all information on the dogs including all vaccines and rabies shots. You must also have a letter from your doctor about the health of the animals. I had it all. Or, so I thought. The doctor in Pattaya had not put one date on the vaccine for one animal. All the dates were the same for all animals but that date was not there. Luckily, I had a driver from Phon and Gems Car Service that told me what was needed, called the Vet and faxed into the office. They received the fax and the vet visit began. Another guy came over and said the fax said my dog was a poodle and it was a Maltese. So, the driver had to call the Vet again and have them refax the document. If I had not had an English-speaking driver, I would have been dead in the water. The guy from Phons was a real Gem. He was wonderful and helpful and helped me make it through a 5 days day in Bangkok. The office hours say the animal control center is open from 10 till 4:30. That is correct. However, if you go between 12 and 1, it is closed for lunch. Every paper has to be there, ever t crossed and every i dotted. If you miss one thing, you won't get approved for export. A vet checks the animal and takes a picture of you with each animal. You fill out papers in triplicate. After all that is done, they do the paperwork and then you pay 50baht per animal and get the Export License. It is a long day. There were people in and out in 1 hour. Some were longer. Anyone that had anything missing from paperwork was sent away. We were allowed to board the next day. NWA/KLM were amazing with the dogs. They even upgraded me free to Business Class and let my dogs go too. I was so happy.

When someone posts something personal, it is always open to the public's bitchy nature. In Thailand, I think there are more bitches that frequent the boards than in most places. I think this board is an exception. We have a good place where people can come and share information. I love the fast that I can get good information on Thailand, without the nasty queens coming out to moan and groan. If you take a look at the other board, they are already on the attack. Some people really do love to see others misery. I am not one of those people. I never want to see another farang or boy unhappy or in a hurtful situation. There are those that really love to see me in pain. Fuck em. I may not post the most personal details as I did in this post too often in the future as I have said I would not do this again. But, after I got an e-mail from LMTU, I knew the day after there were many talking and rumors floating about. I wanted to stop the gossip from those who did not know what was happening and tried to stop the fire instead of allowing it to burn. Otherwise, I would not have made this post at all. Perhaps a little restraint in my next big post will be observed. GayButton has always given me good advice and Hedda reminds me of my mother. She doesn't always say what you want to hear but is usually right. I think some of her past posts predicted this was about to come. As I said before, I had a great time. As I said on another board, I still care for these guys and hope to be friendly with them. Not a client again, but on friendly terms. I wish them best of luck. I have NOT given up on the Land of Smiles. I love it there. I tend to have a pattern with all boyfriends. When I break up, I leave the country for a few weeks or months. I do this not to get away from them but to allow them to move on with their life and get started into a new routine. I gave every boy that left a kiss and told them goodbye. I hope I left on good enough terms to be friendly with them in the future. I did not leave for good. I just left for a while. They needed a break from me and I needed a break from them. Since I have a few million frequent flyer miles, it is easy for me to fly away and take a vacation. That is what I did.

I don't need to wait for that answer. Yes, the ride was worth the fall. I had an amazing time. Perhaps the best time of my life. Life is like a roller coaster. It has it ups and downs. I love the ups and the downs are always tolerable as I know there is another up coming up soon. I love the ride.

I don't think it is fading. I do think that the more time one spends there, the more picky they become. I know this is my case. When I first visisted, I could find 20 boys in every bar I liked. Now, I am luckly if I find one. I don't think the boys have changed as much as I have. Also, the beach has been dead. I went many days and it totally sucked. I didn't find one guy I liked there. It seems they are all home and not in Pattaya.

All good things must come to an end. Hedda asked in another post when my spending spree was going to stop. Well, it has stopped. I have finished. Elvis has left the building so to speak and as his ring said TCB. That is what I did. I took care of business. I had several boys living with me for a long time. My main rules are, no other farang, no lies and no yabba. If they follow those rules, other things are no problem. Living in the lap of a luxurious home, I had a great life. A swimming pool. Tons of boys. Many farang friends. It was a good life. A few nights ago, that life came to a halt. I found out that all but one of my boys had been doing Yabba. I was stunned. I was sad. Not only was this my major rule for anyone staying with me, it was also something that could have landed me in major trouble. I do not want to be anywhere near that stuff. Why did I let all this happen? Stupidity. Not anyone

LOL Thank you! This made me laugh so much today. After spending 2 hours discussing a phone line with TTT for the 69th time, your post calmed me down. Thanks. They are worn out. They are falling apart. But, they are like old friends. No matter how uncomfortable things become, you still adore them. -

I have not been in the closet for years. I have not had my closets full for even more years. I hate shopping for myself in the fashion most shop. I don't have nice clothes and shoes. I wear the same sandals for the past 3 years. I have the same shirts for the same amount of time. So, I conserve when it comes to shopping for myself. I do enjoy shopping for my boyfriends but have learned it is better to give them the cash and let them go and buy themselves than for me to buy for them. My beds are now full but the closets still have space. hehe I think everyone chooses what to do with their money. I don't drink and spend money on booze. I don't eat at fancy restaurants. I don't travel as much as I like. I don't own my own place in Thailand. I choose to spend my money on a gaggle of laughter and fun. Not sure how long it will last. I get bored easy. But, the boredom in Pattaya is certainly not the same as the boredom in other places. -

Please feel free to call me Queen, Fag, Asshole, Buttwipe or even pervert, sicko, lardass, redneck or yellow belly. But, please, save the true insults for when you know me. A Republican? I had just soon take it up the arse from a ladyboy as to be called a Republican! (Or something I haven

Hedda, my dear, Garlic would just make the smell more Italian than Thai. I do love Italian myself but not sure how much garlic would help keep the unwanted away. We seem to be doing a pretty good job of not having the interest of those undesireables. Perhaps, they have another forum and that is all they need. I say,

Well, you said a mouthful there! Right you are. I once invited Mr. and Mrs. Wasp to Pattaya with me. They did scoff at the goings on. After Mrs. Wasp went to sleep, Mr. Wasp joined me at Lucky 7.

I have not had much experience with guys from this part of the world. I have met a few in Pattaya that I thought were sexy and even had a few encounters with them that were quite enjoyable. I had a bad experience with a group of them at Hollywood as the group kept invading my space and were acting like dogs in heat when it came to the ladyboys in our group. As one of them kept hitting on one of the ladyboys who had a boyfriend in the group, the night almost ended in a brawl. This is not what I wanted and was able to maintain the peace. I just wonder why there are so many from that part of the world in Pattaya. I have nothing against them being here but I was under the impression that many move here and stay here. The community seems active which is a good thing. There is one section of town that is filled with hotels and restaurants that cater to them. My question is this, how do so many of them afford to come here at such a young age? So many I have met are much younger than the average farang. I know in Europe that many get 2 months off a year as opposed to the USA vacation of 2 or 3 weeks a year. Does anyone know how long someone from that part of the world gets for vacation each year? If they practice their religion, I know that alcohol is forbidden. Is this similar to Christianity where one can pick which vices one wants? Is sex with women who are not of their religion forbidden? Is sex with other guys forbidden? I apologize if these comments are stupid. It is really my first encounter with a group of guys from this part of the world and I want to try to understand them a bit better.
