There are many Golf Societies in Pattaya, mostly or all of them attached to a bar. Is there any gay golf society around or are all gay golfer in different societies or only playing private? I guess I am not the only one playing with balls and handle hard shafts outside in the green... I am with Sugarshak by the way...

This and similar questions occasionally asked on the forum obscure the real question which is:
 
What you would boyfriend do in this situation if he hadn't you as a boyfriend?
How would the family raise the money without your help?
Why does he ask you to contribute the major part of the costs?
 
When a Thai boy asks me for money, I remind myself:
"He survived before without my help, he will survive after me without my help, and he would master the current situation without my help"
and then I ponder if the request is reasonable, in which case I will help.
(I had boys asking for money for cigarettes, they get "smoking is dangerous, you might die of cancer" as reply.)

Arriving yesterday, I made a short trip to Jomtien Complex for some insight. Answering the question on another topic “Who goes to Jomtien Complex at all”, that be me. I like the overall atmosphere and always stay within walking distance or inside the complex when in Pattaya.
First beers, as always, L&N Bar. Chatted with the nice owner and practised a bit on the few Thai words I speak. Bar quite empty, as always, but serves the community as a Homebase for all the barboys around (cigarettes, lao dong). Question Mark opposite was packed with a birthday party, a pig on the roast never fails to attract many people. This Soi is pretty crowded with a new gay bar seemingly to be opening every week.
Went on and wanted to have a beer in the Pour House in the other Soi. Upon approach, was pleased that the place has sharpen up with new furniture. Only after sitting down I recognised, the Pour House no longer exists but the Ganymede Bar has taken over (sad news, I liked the Pour House). Ganymede Bar moved in from the Hotel on the other side of the Soi and the Ganymede Hotel has changed name to Zing Resort and Spa. One could say the de-gaying of the Hotel might be completed now and it can proudly call itself a family resort.
Back to the first Soi, had a drink at Dolce Vita. This place also had a major clean up and is under new management now. Looks nice and I think it will do well, has the right mix of boys but not too pushy.
Last drink, when jetlag really kicked in, was at The Venue, good to see some old staff back. 7-11, then bed.

The complex was full again last night (at least with boys), another bar had a karaoke party that went on quite long. To cover all the bars there might take a week, as seemingly there are more boybars per m2 then in sunnee. In case Jomtien becomes declared as a "Entertainment Zone" the Complex will enter into a new golden age.
 
 
Stayed here twice in the past, but did not have too much luck with the room and did not come back. I took the information about the transformation of Ganymede / Zing from another source, but interestingly it was deleted there in the meantime - but one will not find Ganymede / Zing on the Hotel lisitings at Nicky and Dreadedned anymore. The drop of the name Ganymede makes sence if one does not cater primary to gays, as Ganymede was a quite busy boy in the greek mythology.

As for controversy it always seems that we human race are heated under the collar when talking about somebody else's money, this is how things are.
 
Since everybody waded into discussion I feel urge to join in.
 
First I need to say I agree with  everybody because everybody has a valid point.
 
Only thing I'm not so sure it that why we somehow assumed that boy was not happy with his tip.
 
It could be case perhaps,  but since it's low season quite possibly  800 tip after week or two of no off   generally speaking may be more welcomed than 1500  one when boy is on the roll and it getting offed daily.
 
Everybody who is shopping at the market at close will notice that some sellers are very anxious for a deal to get rid of merchandise or at least earn something while others satisfied with day's  take are not that keen on price  reduction.
 
So boys poor performance may be related to tip but as firecat noticed may be due to lack of chemistry rather than money issue.

1.I agree with boy,  if money was an issue boy was right by being upset that situation forced him to accept lower tip and decided to pay back with performing at bare minimum
 
2. If TD decided to bargain tip to 800 I don't see anything  wrong with that. Yes he could choose to be generous as suggested by others but on another hand we have market forces at hand with poor season , boy could be happy  with reduced tip as explained above and 800 while not generous at all is hardly extortionate in view of biguyby's quotations  above , fact that Saranrom boys still quote 500 for the same service and I don't even go to the issue of how much participants of fuck shows in the bars are compensated.
 
3. Nirish is also correct that deal is a deal , tip was discussed and terms agreed. I'd go even as far as to say that Gospel with the story of laborers in the vineyard is supporting his argument .
 
4. Firecat and other supporting his noble rant is right too,  we spent so much on other frills there and boys are giving us so much joy we should be generous not just transactional. They deserve it and we can afford it still getting good deal.
 
so if everybody is right why TD and boy are not happy? Well that's  the life. You buy first class ticket and still have sleepless flight because that other guy sleeps and snores like power saw.
 
On personal note if  any thread  here boosted my self esteem , it was this one as I found myself both using all  good advises  dispensed above   including mine own and found my own tipping habits not only keeping the line but often exceeding whatever was quoted here. And as a bonus I still consider that money well spent and wish everybody will feel the same.
