Are there any hotels near the beach bars that are clean and gay friendly,,,, I live in BKK and been to Pattaya many times but have never be over the hill to Jomtein so have decided to check out some of the boy bars by the beach I have heard about,,,

 

Is the gay scene as nice as its been described to me ?? I have heard that it if fairly  easy to meet along the beach ,which I would like ,as I have grown very tired of clubs.

 

Also I know it is a long way from the bus station ,,is a motorbike a god way to get there or should I look for other transportation  ?....any other advise ??

You might try the Poseidon Hotel in Jomtien Complex .  Even though it is not actually on Jomtien Beach Road it is extremely close.

 

The gay scene in the Complex should keep you busy for a few days 

 

If you have a couple of pieces of luggage you can hire a baht bus right at the bus station.  It should run about 250b +/- to get to Jomtien Complex

BB Inn is located directly on the beach ( from entrance of hotel till beach sand is just 5 meters), I spend few vacations there. Rooms 700 - 1200 baht, pool villas 1000-1100 baht, very gayfriendly.

 

 

 

nearby gay hotels: Tui's place (3 stars) and DD Inn (2 stars)

 

5-7 min walking to gay area in Jomtien complex, 5 min/10 baht tuk-tuk ride to south bus station (buses to Bangkok and Suwarnabumi airport)

 

I prefer to stay at the beach hotels cuz

- less noise ,

- not so hot at day time - wind from the sea

- eye-candy boys topless walking around nonstop

If coming from Bangkok you could take rail link to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and then take bus from there to Pattaya./Jomiten

The terminal in Jomtien is very close to Jomtien Complex. You could easily take a Baht Bus for 10 Baht to the Complex area, about a few minutes from the bus terminal.

 

Also there is another hotel Zing in Jomtien Complex, not gay, but mixed. Google Zing.

Long way from North Pattaya bus station (if coming from Ekkamai), close (about 1 km) from Thappraya bus station (bus 389 "sex tourist express" from Suwarnabhumi airport, see kokopelli).

 

From North Pattaya bus station, I recommend songtheo (you have to change once or twice, maybe at Dolphin Roundabout and definitely at South Pattaya / Second Road intersection, total fare 20 or 30 Baht, mocy would be expensive and uncomfortable with luggage for such a long ride. For songtheo from North Pattaya bus station either pay around 50 Baht for the first part of trip when you board in bus station or walk across road and flag one down for 10 Baht.
