August 11, 201610 yr Seems 2 bombs have gone off in Hua Hin...some killed Was only a few weeks ago I started a thread asking if you felt safe in Boyztown, mmm....
August 11, 201610 yr http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/11/asia/thailand-hua-hin-bombs/index.html Bottom Line there is no safe place in the world and you just have to live your life. Way more likely to get hit by a bus crossing the street.
August 11, 201610 yr Apparently the first bomb went off in/near a beer bar and then 20 minutes later the second went off (the practice is designed to cause harm to the officials, police, etc. who respond to the first explosion.) At this point they indentify two of the victims as British while no info on the others. Blind hatred is not an effective long-range political strategy.
August 11, 201610 yr http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/11/asia/thailand-hua-hin-bombs/index.html Bottom Line there is no safe place in the world and you just have to live your life. Way more likely to get hit by a bus crossing the street. Exactly! Just stay inside your whole life.
August 11, 201610 yr If that is a suggestion that I say you should stay inside, possibly you should reread more carefully.
August 12, 201610 yr More cities in Thailand bombed. Phuket also hit. http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/11/asia/thailand-hua-hin-bombs/
August 12, 201610 yr http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/11/asia/thailand-hua-hin-bombs/ Latest article I can find where Phuket is also hit. https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2016/aug/12/thailand-explosions-resort-towns-phuket-hua-hin
August 12, 201610 yr Good coverage on BBC and France 24. Very little on US news so far. BBC reports two arrested, but that could be police public relations (round up all the usual suspects).
August 15, 201610 yr I happened to be in Kuala Lumpur this past weekend. I noticed that the crowd at the Chinatown and Central markets had lessened somewhat. One more observation that "disturb" me was the increased of Middle Eastern tourists. It is easily to spot them as their women were covered from head to toes in black tunic/dress. Their presence put me at ill-ease.
