The newly-released 2017 list sees Thailand ranked at 2.6 on the Index. March 12, 20179 yr They only take into account changes from last year (inflation) and unemployment rate it seems. Malaysia went out of the top 10 of least miserable nation at number 11. Unemployment really depends on labor cost, if they are cheap, a lot of company can afford to hire more people doing similar kind of job to finish things quicker. I know it is very simplified version but i think when inflation is low, most people have jobs, little reason to be miserable.
