Divine, after 28 trips you would think I knew this, but what is "old Town" I never heard this before. I really feel stupid. I'd thought I was well read, at least.

I think of it as the part that has the Grand Palace and Was Pho, etc.   Also called Rattanakosin Island because it's bordered by the river and canals.  Where we draw the line between Chinatown and Old Town I do not know.  I also sometimes see places on the river closer to Chinatown and Wat Pathum Khongkha (opposite Lhong 1919) as being in Old Town.  Don't know if that's just marketing or not.
