November 25, 20187 yr Hi I wonder if there any drug store/pharmacy in Bangkok, where I can get some condoms (preferably SKYN brand) and also silicone base lube in pocket size packs. If you know rough estimate price as well, would be great! Thanks in advance
November 25, 20187 yr every 7/11 or family Mart will carry those prominently displayed by the cash registers, no need to look for pharmacy, plenty of those as well. In Silom / Patpong / Suriwiong area this is last of your worries and absolutely no need to be shy , they saw it all , most likely in the last 15 minutes
November 25, 20187 yr Silicone based lube is pretty rare in Thailand, so you are better off to bring your own Pocket sized packs of any lube are also rare... except the water based ones that they issue in the gay saunas and safe sex packs - which have the consistency of marmalade or jam and are awful to use!
November 26, 20187 yr Silicone lube, being synthetic, has better lubricating properties in preventing poor fitting condoms from snagging, so that the ride is smoother. I suspect that the Japanese porn industry uses it a lot, sometimes in copious amount and also while barebacking.
November 26, 20187 yr Silicone lube is also a bitch to get wash off after the deed is done without lots of hot water And even worse makes a real trip hazard when spilled on a tiled floor (so says my friend that ruined his holiday last January by slipping on lube!)
November 27, 20187 yr I go along with Colman. Silicone lube is very messy and you will not make friends of hotel staff if it gets onto the bed sheets. Thai boys are sometimes careless and squirt the stuff all over and use excessive quantities especially if they are about to be topped. Standard KY Is my choice although you can get through a lot if you repeatedly apply.
November 28, 20187 yr I always take a large cheap towel to put on the bed when using silicone gel. Never had a problem with the hotel sheets. Always prefer silicone to KY.
November 28, 20187 yr There is a certain etiquette, just like when taking afternoon tea, to follow when using silicone. 1. Do not rush. Squeeze gently the bottom of the tube (like you would a toothpaste tube ) to prevent spillage. Replace the cap securely. 2. Take your time and place it evenly where it belongs. Use sparingly as it is already fluid. 3. Place à large towel on the bed to trap excess liquid, and which will be useful for the apres cleaning up. 4. Use the towel to dab excess from parts of the private parts. A wiping action is considered uncouth. 5. Place the unused tube in a secure toiletry bag after the act is done. Clean or dispose the paraphernalia used during the act appropriately.
December 20, 20187 yr I use the sachets of lube that are provided by saunas. A bit too liquid for my taste (figuratively), about half of it is lost by dripping. I never had problems to get it out of bed linen in washing machine. What I don't like is the smell (not a bad smell, close to indifferent), that sticks to my fingers, even after washing or showering, and stays for hours. anddy: [silicone based lube] also, it lasts longer because, unlike water-based lube, it doesn't dry out I was wondering what you meant. You mean storage, not usage?
