Man Cured Of HIV Virus

Featured Replies

Doctors implanted stem cells from an HIV immune man into an HIV positive man. He now tests negative for the HIV virus.

They are quick to say that they don't know if this will work for everyone - but once they've cured one person that's a giant step toward curing other people.

It is redundant to say "HIV virus." What do you think the V in HIV stands for?

Try this link for an article giving the details on this cure and possible ways to extend it to the general population. As it stands, it's only available to 'one in a million' HIV positive people.

One in a million is better than one in zero and once they cure one guy it has to help them figure out ways to cure other guys eventually.
