December 21, 201114 yr Active Members I found the book a little tedious in places. I don't see how it can be translated into a movie w/o either confusing viewers who didn't read the novel or boring those who did. Or both. Just my 3 cents worth.

December 23, 201114 yr I saw it today. It was excellent. It was intense but it's the first movie this year where I didn't look at my watch throughout the entire movie. The leads were excellent. I may have to go read the books now.

December 23, 201114 yr Author Expat, if you read the books be aware that the second and third book are much better than the first book (though the first book is cool as well. It's just that the first book is good, but books two and three are great.)

It's well adapted from the Book and I liked it better than it's Swedish counterpart. Really liked Christopher Plumber as Vagner. I wish it was doing better at the box office.
