When I go to the website I get:

 

 

When I click on the "Why am I seeing this website" I get and e-mail to someone with "Inquiring about the domain sawatdee-gay-thailand.com, with status: Expired" in the subject box.

 

I hope Spike paid the bill. Also hoping that it's just a blip.

I communicated with Spike today and the site should be back to normal tomorrow. Domain Registrations are due annually. It is not uncommon for people to forget to pay until the site is down. It happens pretty often actually.

 

The page that is currently there is a page that is used by the Registrar to make money until the domain is renewed. There are many pages like this and if you ever see sites like the one currently up it is often that the owner of the name has not utilized the site. Registrars figured out they could make money on the unused or non renewed sites. So, this is what they get. When you click on any of those links, the registrar is making money. Just an FYI. The site is still owned by Elephantspike and once renewed, it will go back to normal.

The owner of Sawatdee tried to log in to this site and post but was not able to get logged in correctly. If others are having issues, please email us at: gaythailand@gmail.com

 

He said that the issue with the domain registration is taken care of but that the server now has an issue. His hosting company is restoring it from backups and as soon as that is completed, it will be back live again. Please be patient as some times these things take a while but it will be back soon.

With all due respect Earwig, do the right thing and, in deference for the deceased, change your avatar of that poor dead boy. After all he was not your bf. Perhaps he should be memorialized in some other way but not as your alteridem

You always get one nutter, I had 2 very happy fun years with him and he was such a genuine nice guy, never took drugs hardly drank and in memory of my Boy, he is staying. He was liked by every one who ever met him, God rest his sole and yours laurence.

Some posts I read take me by surprize, some just simply make my mouth drop. This one did both. As my grandmother always said, "opinions are like assholes, everyone has them."

I commend ear wig for his diplomatic restraint in face of an incredibly vicious attack both mis-informed and cruel in the extreme.

I was grateful to GayThailand for taking the trouble to find out what the problems were at Sawatdee Gay Thailand and letting us know. How extraordinary that nobody there took the trouble to do so - again.
