September 23, 201313 yr I think that the girls answered straight because most of them still think that it's negative to say someone's gay and so they default to straight no matter what they truly believe.

The guys seemed a little more honest in their opinions than the girls he asked (I can't remember any of the girls saying they thought he was gay). I was very encouraged by the over all reactions of general acceptance. But I also think it's easier to be accepted when you're as drop dead gorgeous as this guy is.

I also wonder how much the fact that they are speaking in public & being recorded influenced responses.

I wonder if your experience is typical of the general young population. If it is, how does one explain all the gay bashing one reads about in the press? It seems that the thugs are usually in their 20s (or younger)
