That is not his boyfriend. It's just a fan that he met while shopping. Apparently his boyfriend is the Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black. it has been all over the web today. Even DLB tweeted today:

Tom Daley's reported relationship with Dustin Lance Black has been making international headlines all week, but one pundit isn't mincing words when it comes to his disapproval of the 19-year-old British Olympic diver's alleged involvement with the Oscar-winning "Milk" screenwriter, 39.

Robert Oscar Lopez, whose opposition to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community is well-established, penned a lengthy blog condemning the couple on his website. Lopez even suggests Daley's supposed romance with Black stems from the diver's father's death earlier this year, and compares the relationship to that of Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn, the adopted daughter of Allen's former partner, Mia Farrow.

"It just so happens that gay male culture treats the whole affair with such casual indifference, even reveling in the sick, twisted predation in all of it," Lopez writes. "Toying with a 19-year-old's sexual identity, when the person is still at a tender age, still not secure enough in himself to piece together what homosexuality means, or even know why he's embarking on such a risky erotic journey -- that's just wrong."

He uses the relationship as evidence that gay couples shouldn't adopt children:

A community led by people like Dustin Lance Black, a community that thinks this is normal and acceptable, is simply not a community that is prepared to have custody over defenseless pubescent boys.

Yes, it's true that heterosexuals commit terrible sexual crimes -- but heterosexuals make up 98 percent of the country, and for the most part, they have a guilty conscience and express disdain over blatant cradle-robbing like this. When Bill Clinton cheated on his wife with an intern half his age, he got impeached and disbarred--it would be a false canard to say that straights think this is okay, so gay people ought to get a pass. A critical mass of gays think it's all very sexy.

E! Online and The Advocate are among the numerous media outlets to report that Daley and Black are an item, though representatives for both men have yet to comment.

Although he did not label himself "gay" or "bisexual," Daley got frank about his current relationship with another man in an emotional YouTube video released Monday, though he did not disclose the identity of his partner.

"Come spring this year, my life changed massively when I met someone. And it made me feel so happy, so safe and everything just feels great. And, well, that someone is a guy," he said. "My whole world just changed, right there and then. And, you know, of course I still fancy girls, but right now I'm dating a guy and I couldn't be happier."

For all he's a self-hating 'court gay' clearly bitter over his rejection by established gay literati, Lopez makes some interesting points. And has a fascinating back story.

Except Signorile was critical about how he came out. He didn't like that Tom didn't specify gay or bi. I have always been annoyed with gay activists who don't like the script unless it meets their specifications. He always does that. Tom is only 19; he's just figuring it himself.

He seems very happy. I hope he's not hurt. He has a beautiful spirit for sure.

He's put a lot of pressure on himself now to make sure the relationship works. That in itself will be difficult. I wish the best to them...Daley seems like a sweet person.
