February 7, 201412 yr I have a lot to read before I kick the bucket. But, I have made it to 42 of them. How about you? http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=8192263011
February 7, 201412 yr Active Members Just make sure you stop at 99 Does seeing the movie version count? If not, then I am only at 33.
February 7, 201412 yr Only 23. Hmmph! But then, any list that starts with To Kill a Mockingbird... "It's interesting that all the folks that are buying it don't know they are reading a children's book." -- Flannery O'Connor
February 7, 201412 yr Active Members Looks like a good list, has at least one of my all-time favorites. Wish there was a massively discounted 'buy all' option!
February 7, 201412 yr The key here is "Amazon Releases." There is no Shakespeare, Homer, Dante, Ben Franklin, George Eliot, etc., no poetry, and not a single work by an Asian writer who doesn't write in English. And, I might point out, there is nothing here that could be classified in any way as gay literature or literature about homosexuality (there is a gay subtext to In Cold Blood, the only listed book by a clearly gay writer).
February 7, 201412 yr Active Members 42 for me too, if I can count Little House On The Prairie being read aloud to the class by my third grade teacher, one chapter at a time, one day a week. I loved it. I still can remember the anticipation of waiting for the next chapter. Damned TV show just didn't measure up to the memory.
