Nugent, rock musician, out and proud serial child molester & NRA board member, was campaigning in Texas with the Republican candidate for government when he was called out for some remarks on Obama that were apparently considered a bit over the line even in Texas. When Abbott, the gov. candidate, declined to disavow Mr. Nugent's pungent views on the Prez, all kinds of hoorah ensued.

My problem was I couldn't find exactly what Ted said that had everyone's knickers in a knot. I did find that one time he vowed that the only way Obama would take office was if he (Nugent) was dead or in jail, meaning, I guess, that he would whack the dastard before he would let that happen, but that hardly seemed particularly extreme (again, we're talking Texas here).

Well, I finally found the quote and present it here for any MERmen curious enough to have read this far:

in an interview with Guns.com, [Nugent] blamed himself for Barack Obama.

“I have obviously failed to galvanize and prod, if not shame, enough Americans to be ever vigilant not to let a Chicago communist-raised, communist-educated, communist-nurtured subhuman mongrel like the ACORN community organizer gangster Barack Hussein Obama to weasel his way into the top office of authority in the United States of America.”

Now the question of why his bragging about boinking numerous bubble gum popping, under-aged teeny boppers back in the day doesn't seem to have occasioned much comment among Texans I leave to better informed folks than me to figure out.

He's a whack job.

He gives trailer trash a bad name and proves you don't have to live in one to be one.
