August 10, 201412 yr The lady at Starbucks told me today as I gave her a 10 for a 4.72 order. I looked at her and said, "yes, it would be nice." she said, "OK, my kids are getting ready to go back to school so I thought I'd check." Is that not weird?
August 10, 201412 yr Active Members I thought they had communal tip jars at checkout? Or what about, "Hey, Beotch. I'll take a couple of muffins for the road?
August 10, 201412 yr Seems extremely odd to me. One panhandler outside The Web was habitually that brazen with me, but then that was his occupation.
August 10, 201412 yr Author I get the same order every day. I always leave the coins but a 100 percent tip for bringing me a cup of coffee? It does seem odd as Starbucks is a great job to have and a good company to work for.
August 10, 201412 yr Active Members A guy goes into a bar has one drink and leaves $100. The bartender says, how do you like that guy, leaves without paying for his drink. Nice tip, though. Best regards, RA1
August 11, 201412 yr It is more and more like that these days.. The world is changing as usual.. I make my own coffee though..
August 12, 201412 yr I stopped going to Starbucks all together when I found out the drink I was buying had 650 calories in it. So I have a Keurig now and make my own.
August 12, 201412 yr Making your own coffee is healthy.. I drink it black without cream or sugar.. I don't like fancy drinks at Starbucks..
August 26, 201412 yr Active Members I quit coffee when I quit smoking: the 2 were too closely associated in my mind. Now I drink tea... which I rarely did when I lived in the UK lol. Anyone who actually asks if I want change for anything gets a long meaningful yeeeees.
August 26, 201412 yr Active Members Basically, I did the same except I quit drinking long enough when I quit smoking so that I wouldn't backslide (accidentally or otherwise). During the interim, I discovered I didn't need coffee or even like it that much. Now, after 30 years of not smoking, I drink, maybe, 3-4 cups of coffee a year about 1/3 of a cup at a time. Oh, yeah, I resumed drinking alcohol as soon as I knew I would not resume smoking. Best regards, RA1
