Can animals make life in a nursing home more meaningful?

Featured Replies

I agree. Animals bring peace to most that like them.

My grandmother died a few years back and when I would fly home to see her for a few weeks at a time, I would always take her dog with me to the rehab center. I am sure she was happy to see me, but seeing her dog made a real difference in her life.

Animals really are great for the elderly. IMHO

Most Definitely. And you dont need to wait for your golden years.... My happiest years were with my pets. Sadly I dont have any now

because I dont want the resposibility, but they will ALWAYS be your best friend, and loyal without doubt.

Of course. My family has always been pet oriented. When my sister from FL would visit our mother in MEM she always brought at least two doxies. Before she could get to our mother's room, many of the residents just had to pet and talk to one or both of the doxies.

We are very important to animals and they are very important to us. And, not just party animals. ^_^

Best regards,
